  1. I had RNY gastric bypass November 26th ... So far I've lost 60 pounds (not that I'm looking to find it ever again!) and have been doing okay but not great with eating and I can't drink enough but the thing that is bothering me most is the lower back pain!! I have a sharp muscular pain in my left lower back that is excruciating; I've used more of my post op pain pills this week than I did after surgery! Has anyone else had back pain? What helped it?
  2. I'm so glad to have found this thread. I had RNY two days before my 2nd son's 8th birthday (thanksgiving) and was home by Wednesday afternoon! Physically everything is healing well and I'm drinking (a little less than half what I'm supposed to be), but emotionally I just feel out of sorts and I get really grumpy with the kids at dinner time ... I'm still not sure if it's them not listening or watching them eat that's bothering me ... I've really been enjoying getting to chew when it's time to take my Multivitamin ... Sigh
  3. I am 2 days post op after rny gastric bypass. It's really reassuring to know I'm not the only one who has been more sore on postop day 2 thank day 1! (I have no idea how to join this group, but I would love to. I'm in virginia and my surgeon is at duke.
