Surgery is in a lil bit...getting registered now....nervous and excited all at once ready for it to be over!!!!

Ughh no don't say that...that just hurt my feelings...I was looking into fmla but that hurt my feelings too...you don't get paid for being out or do u...my supervisor is kind of tough about giving the time off for this type of surgery she says it's cosmetic...that's what she told a coworker....so I don't knw what to do

You did better than I would have cuz she would of had a WTF moment...how she disappointed and she still heavy...hmmmm...research is the key ...b4 opinions need to be given....

I'm a CNA working in a hospital I wanted to knw how long did anybody else stay out after surgery?!???! I haven't had surgery yet I have a tentative date June 23rd.

I'm scheduled for June 23rd...I'm nervous now cuz I don't knw what to tell my supervisor to get the approval for being off...she gave some of my other co-workers a hard time about it....what to do????? But I'm excited too finally get to this point!!!!

I am so worried I won't get approved my bmi is 40.4 but I had one weigh in that was at 39.9 hope it don't count I also have no comorbidities... But as I stand at 4'8 says the nurse who took my height my 184 is pretty heavy for me although everyone says no you don't need that...well I always say you don't live in this skin and you don't knw how I feel in this body that I'm ready to shed a few pounds off of...I say to each his or her own and mind ur own business!!!! I'm the equivalent height of a 3rd-5th grader...and 184 ain't cute on this frame...my 11 yr old is taller than I am...yes my kids pick on me terribly but it's ok...sorry rambling...just wanted to share a little about this Black Beauty Waiting...

When my paperwork was submitted in oct 2013 I had bmi of 40 and Bcbs NJ empire approved me with zero co-morbidities. I lost about 22 pounds before surgery which put me at bmi of 37 or so and I was still fully covered with zero comorbids!Sandisleeve you just gave me life...I am so worried I won't get approved my bmi is 40.4 but I had one weigh in that was at 39.9 hope it don't count I also have no comorbidities... How does the fmla work tho? Is that without pay or what...I was trying to do some research on that because that's probably what I'll have to use when time comes...

First day of appointments...I'm sooo nervous...my mom asked why u go thru so much for this...if it's something u really want you'll do whatever u have to to succeed...

I won't miss 1.looking like I'm still 9 months preggo my youngest daughter will be 11 in January.... 2.being told I look like a fat kid...I'm 4'9 with a baby face 3. My feet are extra small but my calves are huge...I can't wear the cute boots in my size... 4. Dressing for comfort instead of cuteness

I'm having to do the same thing to qualify for insurance. I just hope that all this pays off. I haven't had my initial consult yet but I did speak to someone to get an appointment finally made. Maybe I need to start another topic but I wanted to know if there is anyone else out there 4'9 or around 5ft and trying to get one of these surgeries done. I'm 180lbs I have 5 more lbs to go to qualify with 40 bmi.
