  1. Hello everyone : ) I was banded on 6/29. I have had no problems, no nausea, not much pain but a lot of gas. I am already so tired of the Protein shakes. I have switched them a few times because I was bored after having the same kind for 3 days. They are no longer filling. I know and understand that I am in the healing phase and need to stick to Dr.'s instructions. I just don't see how I can go another week on liquids only. I have had broth and that was a nice change, but I am tiring of that as well. Does anyone have any suggestions? Anything at this point would be good. Thanks!!:alien
  2. My PCP did mine, not even for the band, I just happen to have a physical 1 month prior to meeting with the surgen. It was your typical yearly physical.
  3. I am getting banded on June 29th. It has already been approved by insurance. I forgot to ask if the fills are covered. I have Hatvard Pilgrim, they are pretty good. I got approved the same day, actually 2 hours after the nurse submitted the request. I was just wondering, will I only have to pay the normal co-pay? I understand this may be different for different insurance companies. Thanks!
  4. I am getting banded on June 29th. I can hardly wait. I am so excited and nervous at the same time. I plan to come here for your support. Congrats to everyone, you are all so inspiring!!!:alien
  5. I am having mine done at Brigham & Womans hospital. They have a great program for weight management. Support groups are not required. However, your attendance at an information seminar is required.
  6. I have been reading so much on this web site. It has taught me so much. Today, I met with my dietition and also had my psych eval. Both went well. My surgery consultation is on May 23. I am so excited. I am 28, from Boston and cannot wait to hear if my doc will say yes. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I find everthing on this site so helpful, from the support to the recipes. You guys are all great. I look forward to posting more and hopefully , I will have your support if and when I do have surgury.
