Everybody looks so great! I'm excited for those of you that are in Mexico or are planning your trip. This was the best thing I have ever done for myself! I will have to post pics soon. I have lost 51 lbs since December and I feel awesome!

Looking for surgeon in Mexico
There is a forum section for Mexico. That's where I did all my research.

Incissions!
Ask the pharmacist or the tech, they will know.

Incissions!
I just went to a local pharmacy and asked them. It was on their shelf.

Incissions!
I know they said don't worry about the incisions, but a nurse friend told me to put the cream on. I am using Hibiclens, it says it's an antiseptic/anti microbial skin cleanser. It does not stain, it's bright hot pink and looks like it should! The ointment is a generic triple antibiotic ointment. I will probably do this for a few more days, but I can tell a big difference since I started doing this!

Incissions!
I had surgery 12/18. I wash with Dial antibacterial. My PCP made me buy some medical skin cleanser (over the counter). I use that once or twice a day, then I do generic antibacterial cream. I started this last week and my incision areas are looking great!

I traveled alone, Dec 17 - 22, 2013. When you go to the hospital, you take your luggage with you. I put my purse in my suitcase under my clothes and just zipped it up. I had other stuff on top of my suitcase. I was very concerned about this before traveling. No one bothered anything. You and your possessions are very safe!

It was so nice to meet everybody this week. I am so glad it is over and I am hopefully, almost home! Delays in San Diego had me running through the Atlanta airport to catch my connecting. Got there on final boarding. Now more delays and we had to be taken off the plane for repairs. Surgery went well, I haven't had any nausea and am doing great with the liquids. I love Mexican food and margaritas, so I go to Mexico and can't have either one. No I'm delayed in the Atlanta airport with a Mexican cantina and a bar next to my gate. Merry Christmas! Ha ha!

I am getting excited about my surgery date and meeting fellow sleevers! I visited with my local doctor and filled him in on my plans. He thinks I'm crazy, but is supportive and gave me a script for phenegran (anti nausea). A recent sleever, a nurse in the US, suggested that I get this to take with me. She said the nausea was awful for her. I know everyone is different, but I would rather be ready. Any more tips for us traveling next week? Especially advice for those traveling alone.

I want to thank all of you that posted your experiences, it helped me make my decision. I freaked out making the calls and setting the date, but since I set the date so close, I'm not freaking out. I researched and feel kind of at ease right now. Next Tuesday when I board the plan, I'm probably start freaking out then! HAF, my daughter is 13 and we adopted her the day she was born. I wish I could bring her. Kindle and HAF I can't wait to meet you!

For those of you that traveled alone, what did you do with your money, passports, etc. during your surgery and hospital stay?

Going To Mexico Alone
This probably is a stupid question, but what do you do with tour wallet, phone, passport, etc when you are in surgery?
