  1. Congratulations on being clean! You deserve a pat on the back. Cheers to a wiser and successful journey ahead! Thanks!Turns out the surgeon thinks he accidentally stapled one of the nerves in my abdomen when stapling up the puch, which is likely the culprit for the excruciating pain. He says the staples will dissolve and then the pain should be gone, but it could take months. His solution? Double up on the Lortab he prescribed for pain. Since I hate pain meds and narcotics, I'm hoping I can just grin and bear the pain until it goes away :PVery annoying!
  2. Yep. My pouch was originally 30cc (1 oz) in 2004 and measured 90cc (3 oz) just a couple of months ago. Drinking and eating to manage stress will do that, unfortunately. But, forward with hope. My revised pouch is around 20cc (2/3 of an oz). I think my surgeon wanted to teach me a lesson.
  3. Had my first RNY in 2004. Went from 275 to 169 in 2008. Had some major life issues going on and developed an addiction to alcohol. Weighing 277 and clean, I had a revised RNY and multiple hernia repair on 12/4/13. Hoping for a better future, but fully aware that I have to make it so.
