  1. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what is NUT?
  2. Gina, Did you have the sleeve with Dr Hawver? What steps did she have you take pre surgery? Did you have a sleep study done? PT? Etc Angie. Aka zoumommy
  3. Gina, I think it was an off day for them, especially since it was right before Thanksgiving. Ironically, a childhood friend of my husband had surgery with Dr Hawver and I've talked with her extensively and feel much better now about my decision to go with Dr Hawver
  4. Hi, I'm a newbie to this forum, I just really have made my mind up to be sleeved. I haven't been obese my whole life, but 2 kids later and brain surgery I put on about 150lbs I've yo yo dieted and I do like to exercise but it goes in spurts. My husband is really nervous about the sleeve and still thinks diet and exercise is the way to go but I've made up my mind. I just met with a surgeon yesterday and have scheduled most if my pre op testing as I could I'm hoping to be sleeved in Feb
  5. Scosta78 my doc wants me down before surgery, her rationale is it takes work after surgery as surgery isn't a miracle fix but a tool, plus it makes surgery risks less
  6. It looks like I'm on task for Feb, no date yet as I just met with surgeon today for the first time and got all the hoops I need to jump through first My question: do you absolutely have to love your surgeon? I wasn't feeling my surgeon today, should I switch?? Help
  7. Frass80 how did you find Dr Snow? I'm looking for we'll educated, no fatalities, warm bedside manner. I don't want to feel like cattle being herded through
  8. Haragl, just met with Dr Hawver today, she's alittle quirky and her office was slammed packed today so I just felt like cattle being pushed through, how did u find Dr Jawver?
  9. Hargal I'm so thankful you posted about Dr Hawver, I meet with her for the first time tomorrow
  10. Thx!! So would you say it's unrealistic to have first meeting Dec 6 and have surgery in Jan?
  11. I'm Angie, 39, 5'6, 307. I'm meeting with Dr Lisa Martin Hawver on Dec 6 to discuss getting the sleeve. Can anyone tell me the length if time from first meeting with surgeon to surgery date? Just curious
  12. I'm meeting my surgeon on Dec 6, but my husband isn't too supportive of my decision to do the sleeve because my health has been so poor. He's worried about me having another surgery and possibly regretting this procedure since you can't undue it. My question: was your partner on board? Were you ever worried that once the procedure was done, there is no turning back?
