  1. Hi wigster, I'm a newbie here too, so bear with me I think it's totally NORMAL to have jitters, you wouldn't be human if you didn't. This is major surgery and the surgeon is removing part of your stomach that will NEVER be able to be reversed. Trust me, I've been exactly where you are....questioning what the heck am I doing. I haven't been sleeved YET....but I'm on my way, my surgery date is 2/3/14. I know for me, the sleeve is the procedure I'm most comfortable with. My grandma ALWAYS says, "Angie, think positive" so that's the attitude I'm going into this surgery with. I will make this new tool work for me, I have to, otherwise it's not worth it.....just my thoughts, hope it helps
  2. Mon? I hear ya and yes we will do great!!! I've been having some last minute food indulges. But I think that's normal. Do u start liquid on Mon? Where r u having it done? Angie

  6. Thank you, does Walmart sell it? Weird about the taste.... My surgeon said that the first 9 months are when the weight comes off the fastest, maybe that's when taste buds figure it out

  14. Yes, she was quite a gem.... Not! Ironically she's the one my surgeon uses
  15. Sorry that was a typo, brain surgery
  16. LOL. She does probably need her own services
  17. Yes she was a trip, she had me start at 100 and subtract 7 going backwards, now what that has to do with Bariatric surgery I don't know. She even questioned whether I would be successful with the sleeve bc 1) I haven't always been obese 2) I had Braun surgery in 2000 and became a chocolate lover following that surgery and gained all my weight following that surgery. She said the brain us an enigma and how do you know my obesity isn't in your brain.... Um WTH?
  18. She is just a thin European doctor who had a lot of preset notions about Americans in general, she told me as much. I'm just glad it is over, longest hour of my life
  19. She was Russian and I think culturally just a rude woman. I'm just glad it's done and she passed me
  20. So I had my psych eval yesterday and the psychiatrist kept trying to talk me out of Bariatric surgery, did yours? At the end she said she would give her approval, but I found her to be very rude. What was your experience?
  21. Jessica H That's good to know. How long ago did you have surgery?
  22. 50notfat, what was her logic for the Cpap machine if you passed?
