My name is Leslie and I have been struggling with my weight since my early 20's, I'm now 47. I had gestational diabetes with all three of my pregnancies and was diagnosed with diabetes in the beginning of 2004. Since then my diabetes has slowly going out of control. My sugars are regularly in the 400-500 range but they can even go higher. My A1C is now at 15.4 even though I take large quantities of insulin a day. I have been so sick the last few years, I know that I have to do something or else I will die. I have been putting this off but I have come to the realization that I must do this if I want to live which I do! I think that I want to have the Gastric Bypass because it has had such good results with diabetes. I'm just starting out and I'm sure that I will have many questions.
