My surgery was 1/9. I came home yesterday, I must say I feel much better than I thought I would. Working on my first protein shake this morning. I would love to connect with others who recently had surgery.

@lola I am very excited. My surgeon doesn't require a pre op diet. I have heard of many having to do a 2 week pre op diet. I have been buying sample size protein shakes/ powder because I have been told by many that taste change post op.

My paperwork was sent to my insurance company on Sept. 20th and I was approved on Oct. 9th.

My dr does not do the two week pre op diet. Just clear liquids the day before, and of course nothing after midnight the day of surgery.

I will be having my surgery on Jan. 9th. This has been a long road with 9 months of weight management. How is everyone preparing for their surgery date?
