  1. I have Type 2 Diabetes and my Doctor was really happy with my last A1c. She changed my medication to oral so I no longer have to take insulin. When I tested my blood sugar this morning it was 41. I have been battling low blood sugar all day. I got really scared when it went as low as 31 and I couldn't see very well. This is the second time this has happened. I think I need to get back to my doctor. Maybe it's time I can get off all meds. Here's hoping!
  2. I just started watching Desperate Housewives on Netflix. I guess I'm a late bloomer. lol
  3. How rude! I went to Panera Bread for lunch with my sis and ordered a full salad. I only ate a few bites and took the rest home. My husband and son enjoyed a late night snack with the leftovers. I've done this when ordering at other restaurants and plan on continuing. It's nice to have leftovers for myself or family.
  4. I had RNY on 7/2. I'm down 90lbs. Doing okay post op but frustrated because I have a broken foot and not able to exercise.
  5. My name is Jeana (pronounced Gina) and Kisses is my Jack Russell Terrier mix. My son got her for me when he went away to college to keep me from suffering with the empty nest syndrome. She definitely is my "baby girl"!
  6. Dr Boone (ALSA) was my surgeon (7/2/2013). I was very happy with him and the entire staff. Unfortunately I have a broken foot and am facing reconstructive surgery. I am ordered to stay off my foot completely so I have not been able to exercise or attend support groups. I found this app in hopes of finding support and encouragement.
  7. When I watched the first episode of Season 1 on Netflix I couldn't get into but my son begged me to give it another try. He watched all the seasons I missed with me and now we can't wait until Sunday rolls around. In turn, I made him watch Mad Men got him hooked. We are both anxiously waiting for the Series Finale.
  8. I wasn't able to login with my original account. I am using my iphone but I saw a post from another user who said she could retrieve it on her desktop. When I get a chance I'm going to login on my Mac and see if I can retrieve my password and use my original username. If not I'll just use this one and be patient until they get all the bugs out of this new app.
  9. Stalk away! How else are we going to get to know people and make new friends here. *smile*
  10. I too, kept my surgery private. I only told my family, close friends and my pastor and his wife. It's my private/personal business. I had surgery four months ago and lost 87 pounds to date. I've gone to church and nobody even commented on my weight loss which suits me fine! If someone were to ask how I am losing weight I will tell them I've been laying on my @$$. It's partly true . . . Three days after my surgery I found out I had been walking on a broken foot for three months. I've been in a cast since and am facing reconstruction surgery. My surgeon had ordered me to stay off my foot. I am only allowed to stand to transition from the couch to the bathroom and to bed. My family and friends push me with the walker that has a seat and I am in a wheelchair when I go out. It's been a bittersweet journey so far but hopefully by the time I am healed from the surgery and back on both feet I will be a whole new less of a person. *grin*
  11. I did. And replied. New to the old rny talk and this change has me really lost. LOL
  12. I just used my nickname - Jeana
  13. Jeana I know what I used as my password because it's the same password I use for all unimportant sites. It just wouldn't let me login. I had to use a different email address too. *blah*
  14. I couldn't log in and had to create a new account. Does anyone know how to retrieve passwords?
  15. How did you retrieve your password? I couldn't log in under my old account. I had to create a new one today. ????
