  1. Lets stay in touch guys, if there is a forum for us already please point me to it, otherwise, I'll start: Surgery date: 10/23/13 Highest weight: 283 Surgery weight: 277 Current weight: 271 (1week post op) Pre op meds vs post op meds: type 2 diabetes pre op-2 insulins 2 pills/ post op-1 pill only 1/2 the pre surgery dose- still on high cholesterol meds but I suspect that will change after my pcp follow up. I am struggling to not get on the scale until my 2 wk post op, 3 days to go I'll keep you guys posted. Gas/constipation is my biggest complaint. Getting down all of my liquids and Protein is my biggest struggle. Staying positive is my biggest accomplishment.... VSG ON 3....1 2 3 VSG!!!! Let's get it!!!!
  2. That's wonderful I'm really hoping to be med free soon esp since it's a hard pill to swallow lol. As for the oatmeal and eggs, it was actually recommended in my choice of food booklet I was surprised about that one but desperate for a change, I went with it. I did try egg drop soup which was so easy to make and I have to say, I LIKE IT!!
  3. I, 1 week 4days post op had to have something flavorful, crunchy and salty, licked all the flavor off of a few spicy Doritos and then chewed it up and spit it out. Omgosh!! That was so satisfying it felt like I ate a whole bag and I didn't actually consume any...I know that's a bit gross but I'm quite sure the scale won't tip with that trick lol
  4. BIKINI SHOPPING !!!! Then take a nice Caribbean vacation and lay out on the beach sporting my new physique and new bikini... #DEAD A@@ Serious
  5. My Vsg journey began 10/23/13 11 lbs down in one week????I just started the puréed stage ???? with a desperate crave to chew on something for a change. I did have oatmeal only 1/2 pk and soft scr eggs which went over pretty well. I'm dealing with lots of gas pain and indigestion. I am type 2 diabetic and pre op was on 2 insulin sand 2 pills, I came home on half the dose of Metformin only but my sugars range from 140-220 which is still better than my average of 300 but I still want to see improvement with my numbers without adding back any meds. Besides that I'm feeling great about the roads ahead. I'll take any suggestions in food ideas, advice, questions, support etc.. #VSG BABY LETS GET IT!!!!
  6. October 23 I was sleeved here in Baltimore, Md down 11 lbs in one week ????
