Hi girls I was finally admitted to my local Hosp today and I cried in relief! My tonsils are so huge I was swabbing my own spit and dehydrating fast! I have a high pain tolerance but I had reached my 10. They had to do a CT scan of my neck with dye to check for abscess. That came back neg for now. I am on morphine and tordol which is quite lovely until the 5th hour. I'm supposed to be here for several days

I should add the one thing I am thankful for is my fever isn't related to my surgery. And OCC called to check on me today!

Oh girls I feel HORRIBLE!!! Fever is 101.6 and I went to the dr 1st thing this morning. They tested me for strep and flu and it's flu! I'm highly contagious and quarantined for 3 -4 days. I can hardly drink my throat hurts so badly but I am terrified of dehydration. So I'm still trying to drink as much as I can! My family arrives today from 1200 miles away and I cannot even be with them. All I want to do is cry! Help!

Ok now I'm really starting to freak out! Nasty sore throat And my temp is 100.2!

So I just flew home last night from OCC!!! Wonderful experience for the most part! This morning I woke up with terrible sore throat and I jus wanna cry! Thought it was going to be smooth sailing! I do not want to deal with a cold on top of it all!

B2b why does it get worse with soft food? Jus your stomach gettin used to it again?

Yes have wifi!!! So grateful for that. And maybe I will get the gas pains tomorrow? Hope not but I better not count on it!

I have already told my man I def think we need to go back for the 1 year check up! I wanna go spend some time in Sam Diego next fall!!!

Back2barb that's helpful info! Thanks. I wondered if it wouldn't be kind of like that... But one can always hope batman an robin have some fancy magic glue right? so do I need to pack gauze and tape then? I'm hoping u say no cause I can't find my medical tape anywhere!

Angie thanks that sounds lovely! I'm pretty sure I'm gonna overpack even though I'm trying not too! Lol I just want this day to be over and be on my way!

Yeah that's what I figured... Lol. But back2barb said she had planned to spend time at the pool! I guess the key word there was AT the pool not IN the pool? I would love to lay in the sunshine but I guess I could do that in my pjs!

So this is probably a dumb question but I'm going to ask it anyway... How long till I can get my incisions wet? I'm trying to pack... we leave in the morning and I wondered if it was worth taking my swimsuit?
