  3. Thanks everyone. Going to try new things and hope it works! It's sucks killing myself in the gym and nothing.....
  4. I'm 4 weeks post op and have lost 27 lbs. I've been the same weight for over 10 days!!! I thought the first three months you drop significantly. What is this?!?! Anyone else in the same boat!
  5. I'm 4 weeks post op and have lost 27 lbs. I've been the same weight for over 10 days!!! I thought the first three months you drop significantly. What is this?!?!
  6. I was sleeved on 12/2 and I went back to work yesterday! I spoke to my physician about my need to get back sooner unless I absolutely couldn't. I'm a physician. I feel great though. Have no pain unless I sit a certain way. Not on meds. I was very proactive about walking the days after surgery. I have a gym in my building and would just walk.... I'm also young with no other issues besides obesity. So each person is different.
  7. 6 days post op and all I want is solid food!!!!!!!!!! How how some of you all gotten through this on you liquid pre op diet. I didn't have to do it.

  9. Sleeved on 12/2. Lost 27 lbs from my highest weight. 12 lbs since surgery!!!!! Soooo excited
  10. Okay. So I'm post op day 3. I still have trouble getting liquids down and gas pain. I pop gas x like its candy! I've been only able to drink 1/2 of isopure. I hope to finish it today though. I stole the incentive spirometer from the hospital to keep working on the deep breathing. I'm trying to keep walking around my apartment and keep the incisional pain under control. I'm an Ob/gyn and have to go back to work on Sunday... Mistake #1. I hope I'm feeling a little better by then. Warmer liquids are easier to get down than cold ones. Sometimes when I move I get a sharp pain that makes me think "what the hell did I do to myself" and regret the whole thing! But I know I need to push forward and the pain doesn't last for long!
  11. My goal is to lose 200 lbs!!!
  12. That's a good idea! I'm so addicted to my scale though. I check it several times a day. I need to scale back (pun intended).
  13. I'm feeling good. The only incision that hurts is the one by my belly button. I've been sleeping a lot since I've been home too. I've only had to take one pain pill today. Because the ride home was a bit bumpy! I'm still just drinking water and soup. Was told to start my protein shakes tomorrow. So I'm anxious to see how those go down.
  14. I'm home!!! Got on the scale and gained 3 lbs since being in the hospital for 2 days! It has to be water weight because all I was able to choke down was jello water and soup
  15. im doing great. Just have to finish this tray of clears then I can be discharged home. Leak test was negative this morning.
  16. you will be okay. Everything happened so quickly. I was wheeled back and moved over then I woke up in recovery. Biggest thing I can tell you is to walk walk walk. As soon as the pain meds kick in start walking in the hallways. Helps a lot with the gas pain.
  17. Having crazyyyy gas pain. Needed to get up and start walking around the unit. It helped. I would recommend walking as soon as you can and don't be afraid to use to use the pain meds of you are really in dillysis
  18. At the hospital now waiting to be admitted for surgery!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  20. Surgery tomorrow. Tried to keep my mind off of it today, but now I'm sooo nervous. I guess it's because my mom just drove into town to be here with me so it's becoming more real. My prayers are with those who are getting sleeved tomorrow too!
