In addition to having the sleeve procedure done 2 weeks ago on 7/14/2014, I also had a Realize gastric band removed (total weight loss from the band was 30lbs after 4 years) AND had a ventral hernia repair done. Turns out the ventral hernia (which was originally repaired with mesh in 2000 that failed) was pulling the stomach out of place so had to be repaired. I was in surgery almost 5 hours. I had a total of 8 incisions!

After surgery my recovery so far has been fairly typical, just a bit slower. I cannot lift anything till 6 weeks post surgery, and feel a bit sore & tired still. Luckily I am off work until September. I have been tolerating the foods well, but have to remember to eat. That does worry my husband some, haha. He not used to that!!
