  1. I am over one month post op and have only gone about 3 times. I have tried everything besides MOM which I am trying tonight. I hope I am not too impacted.
  2. He's out! Everything went fine. In recovery. He's in pain as expected. Can't thank you guys enough for your prayers and thoughts! So relieved!
  3. He's in! The anesthesiologist freaked him out before he went in saying that because of his sleep apnea she would have to place his tube in his throat while he was awake then put him to sleep. I've never seen him more frightened. I was too. I am in my office now just waiting. I hope everything goes ok an he was able to shrink his liver enough for it to take place. My stomach is in knots until I hear something.
  4. Amazing! Not to mention you look years younger!
  5. Absolutely magnificent!
  6. Thanks everyone! So great to be apart of such a warm, wonderful community of just positivity. So hard to find these days. Yes, I am so fortunate to work at the hospital. Everything is free with no pre- authorizations for anything. We feel blessed and fortunate. Will update tomorrow!!
  7. So excited! We will be only a month apart. So glad to be experiencing this journey with him. We are nervous because he is over 400 and high risk. He did really well on pre op. Anyway. Wish us luck! He's having it at the hospital in which I work so I can kill two birds with one stone.
  8. Omg! I didn't know that! I just assumed there was nothing there! I'm going to take it another level tonight to see if that helps. Thanks so much!
  9. Another thing is that I've only "pooped" two times in the past month. I have taken miralax and nothing. Yesterday, my husband juiced for me with a whole lot of veggies. Nothing. I took benafiber. Nothing. I know I have not eaten a whole lot of solids these past 4 weeks but surely something should be coming out! Any suggestions?
  10. You know. I don't even know. I guess with the majority of it being in the first week I just haven't gotten that same thrill. But you're right. 21 pounds in a month is good. Haven't done it before now.
  11. I know there are a million threads of disappointments about stalls etc on this board, but sorry you have to hear one more time as I am kind of disappointed at my one month weigh in today. I've stayed off the scales for over two weeks so I wouldn't be disappointed but it didn't work. My heightism weight pre op was 267. Day of surgery 262. One week post op weigh in 247. Down 15 pounds! However I am sad to report that 3 weeks and 3 days I'm only down 6 more pounds. I do admit that I look like I've lost more and my clothes are pouring off of me but I guess I'm a metrics type of girl. At least it's headed in the right direction and i haven't felt this good in a long time. Good luck everyone. Headed to the city to walk around Central Park.
  12. Yogurt was on my full liquids. So strange how dr's differ.
  13. Thanks everyone! I feel much better. I'm sticking what I know. If I venture out, I venture out. So loving this sleeve. I can think about other stuff now besides plotting my next meal!
  14. Hello All I was cleared to move to the next phase of eating Thursday which is the "mushy" phase. I have been on full liquids for the past 4 weeks. I've been living on protein shakes, yogurts, and broth. I don't want to move on to the next phase. I am comfortable where I am. I like my menu and have no desire for anything else. Am I an anomaly? Do I have to move on?
  15. I am absolutely afraid to weigh because I fear the number has not moved. I'm doing everything right and my clothes are falling off of me but I am absolutely fearful that I am not losing weight or I'll be the one this procedure doesn't work for.
  16. I noticed how much clearer my skin was as soon as I looked in the mirror after my surgery!
  17. The first pic was the night before surgery. I look like I was going in for a c section though. Lol.
  18. I'm 3 weeks out yesterday. Didn't weigh in decided to wait until my one month mark. But here is a pictorial of my achievement so far.
  19. Have the sleeve done? I'm asking for my husband who is petrified that they will go in and not be able to do the surgery.
  20. Hi sure! My height at weight was 267 Day of surgery 262 5'2
  21. Hi everyone. I just wanted to drop in and introduce myself to everyone. I was sleeved on the 19th of Dec. As of last week I was 23 pounds down. I will have my 3 week post op weigh in tomorrow. I love my sleeve with all my heart. No complications. No pain. Having trouble remembering to eat and drink but that's not the worse thing in the world! wishing everyone the best!
  22. I was not hurt badly. Really just one leg went down. It was pretty bruised. I was very embarrassed. You would have thought a bunch of 4 and 5 year old would have laughed their heads off but they were so concerned and not one laughed. But I vowed that I would never put myself in a predicament to embarrass my daughter again because of my weight.
  23. After two weeks and two days I'm headed back to work tomorrow. I have mixed feelings. In some ways, I'm glad that I can preoccupy my time with something else other than thinking about this surgery I just had. On the other hand, I don't know if I quite have the energy just yet. I have a two hour commute one way (until June) and it wore me out before the surgery so I can't imagine how I'm going to feel at the end of the day this week. However, I think I'll just stay at a hotel tomorrow night to avoid the commute home and rest. I have a desk job but it can't still be intense and tiring. Anyway, wish me luck!
