  1. I have had the best luck drinking isopure. It has 40 grams of protein and the bottle is 20 oz I think. They have good flavored too....grape, alpine punch( fruit punch), green apple, coconut, passion fruit and lime. I order mine from cwimedical.com or GHC sells it. I like passion fruit and alpine punch. I had a horrible time with the shakes, I gave those up!! Good luck

    Dating post-op..does it get easier?

I was 120 lbs overweight and joined a dating site on my phone. My BFF had had luck at dates, some bf's but they wouldn't last, so I decided yo give it a try. Went on the first lunch date,..... I was interested but he wasn't so ok pass. Second date only wanted a bitty call PASS! Third date, I decided I would try phone conversations first. Those went very well and were on a daily basis. We had our first date and it took us an hour to order food bc we were talking the whole time! That date was a success! I delete the app a week later. We've been together for two years now and planned to get married! I am 7 month pis top and am living with the man of my dreams. People are surprised at how we met but we fit together perfectly!

    Folks Who Have Had Complications

I had the sleeve and threw up from day 3 to 5 1/2 months out. I was unable to take protein or vitamins for awhile. Gained heartburn from the surgery and had talk of having a surgery to correct the severe acid reflux/ heart burn. I would do it all again tomorrow though. My advice research your dr!! I love my surgeon, I went out if town for mine. My friends sister did her sleeve in town and stayed in the hospital for 4 months following. Had 3 icy stays, pneumonia, 46 units of blood given and had to have her stomach removed! She had to eat through a tube only liquids and ended up loosing her life. She left behind a husband and 2 small children...... Research your doctor!
  4. I had this same thing happen as well!?, I fine on day 7 ( I had glue strips) on day 8.... It was a nightmare! That was itching like I didn't know existed! My skin was red under and had a red ring around them. I halos was covered in hive like bumps on my stomach! My mom ended up pulling the glue strips off so I could get relief. I would lay bags of ice on my stomach and cover in cortisone itch cream a lot! Also where I had touched the strips and touched another place on my body, I.e. Face, arms ect...those places also broke out the same way!! I found out TOO late that I'm highly allergic yo adhesives.....hope this helps

    4 Wks Post Op Miserable

It gets better hang in there!! I am 7 months out and vomited SEVERAL TIMES DAILY until 5-5 1/2 months! I still get nausea from time to time. I too had trouble taking protein. Now I can ONLY take protein by drinking isopure. Have you tried that? Keep your head up and remember it was worth it and will get better
