  1. Have you tried taking supplements like Biotin for the hair loss? I was sleeved 12/2 and I started taking 10,000mg and it seems to help a bit. I have long hair so I usually shed a lot anyway, but it has seemed to not get any worse after taking the supplements.

    Friggin Steri-Strips

I am 4 weeks post op...2 steri strips have fallen off with no problem but the last 3 are still on there. Two of the incisions have stitching sort of poking out of the side. Does anyone have this problem? Should I just trim it?

    Post Op Day 2

Hey all- I was also sleeved on Monday 12/2. Congratulations to all the new sleevers! Still feeling bloated as well and uncomfortable sitting and laying down/sleeping. I'm walking around a lot but I feel like I've overdone it today. I am taking Gas X sometimes and liquid pain medication when I feel it's unbearable. It's not pain feeling but it's just uncomfortable and I am starting to feel frustrated. I can only have a spoonful of something and feel uncomfortable. I need to get my fluids in but I'm getting frustrated with that as well. On top of it all, tonight my mother made chocolate chip cookies! I wasn't hungry for them but I felt like that wasn't nice. My stepdad and brother both got the sleeve a few years ago so they are all being supportive but I'm very impatient and feeling a bit like "why did I do this?!". I know I made the best decision for my life and this is all temporary, but I'm feeling like a big baby right now! Lol. Anyone else feeling this way?

    December 2013 Sleevers

Yay! Best of luck to you!
  5. 1. Not being able to fit in cute clothes and trying to cover up my body at all times. 2. Being self-conscious and not pursuing things I deserve just because I'm too shy and afraid to. 3. Not fitting comfortably in certain seats and not breaking parts of a chair and feeling extremely embarrassed. 4. Not feeling sexy naked, especially during sex 5. Feeling like I'm the fattest person 6. Not being able to cross my legs And of course the thing I will definitely not miss about being fat....is being FAT. Tomorrow is my surgery day

    December 2013 Sleevers

Tomorrow is finally my surgery day. I'm extremely nervous but I know that this is the best decision I've made. So for those who have already gone through it, do you have any tips or things that you did to calm your nerves before the surgery?

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

I'm also getting mine done during my winter break from graduate school! My hope is to be at my best by December 2014 when I graduate I'm so ready for this life changing process to begin! I wish you and everyone the very best of luck and look forward to seeing everyone's progress!
  8. Hi everyone! My name is Krysta. I'm 27 years old and I'm new to this forum. My surgery is scheduled for 12/2/13 and I'm pretty nervous and excited at the same time. Like many people here, I've struggled with my weight for almost all of my life and it was this year that I've been at my heaviest (I'm currently 5'6 and 258lbs). I work out 3-4 days a week but I am an emotional eater. I currently am in therapy to help with this. I'm just really ready for 2014 to be my best year yet! I am currently in graduate school and will be graduating December 2014 and I am hoping by that time I'll be feeling and looking amazing

    December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

My surgery is scheduled for 12/2! I'm new to the forum. My name is Krysta and I'm 27 years old. I have battled with my weight for most of my life and I am currently at my heaviest I've ever been (5'6, 258lbs). I met with my surgeon yesterday and he is pretty amazing. He has operated on my stepdad and brother...they both have the sleeve. I originally wanted the lap band but my brother convinced me that the sleeve would be the best option for me, and after doing much research I believe that it will be as well. Good luck to everyone! I am looking forward to seeing everyone's progress and posting mine as well!
