  1. On Thursday I will be 6 months post op. I have lost around 34 lbs and I have had two fill. My band is at 6cc out of 11cc. I do not believe I have got the green zone yet because I can feel myself starting to slip back into old bad habits and I have even gained a few pounds. Everyone in my family knows about my surgery which adds extreme pressure and anxiety. They are constantly pointing out that I haven't lost enough and that by this point I should be at least 60+ pounds lighter. I need advice on how to deal with the pressures of others judging your weight loss and how to get back on track so I can start losing again. I was thinking about just doing my pre op diet for 2 weeks to kick my butt back into gear. Any suggestions??
  2. I have been having pain in the left side of my abdomen (the opposite side of my port) that feels like a pulled muscle but 10 times more painful. It hurts when I stand, walk, bend, sit and breathe. I have noticed it hurts more on days I work bc I am moving around more. I also have been feeling nauseous. For the last 2 weeks. I can eat fine and haven't had any heartburn. I plan on calling my surgeon first thing on Monday but I was just wondering if anyone on here has experienced similar pain?
  3. Thank you guys so much for the kind words. I know she is just excited about my weight loss and she does mean well but she still doesn't understand where I'm coming from. Thank you for your input and advice, I feel much better and less annoyed!
  4. Have been banded for just over 3 months and have lost about 35 pounds. I am happy with my progress so far and I understand that my weight loss will be slow. I'm annoyed because my mom keeps telling people I have lost 45-50 pounds because she feels I should be losing weight faster. I keep reminding her that slow weight loss is long term healthy weight loss and I won't be skinny overnight. It's also annoying because when I tell people how much weight I have really lost it just doesn't seem as impressive. Sorry for the rant but it is just annoying!
