  1. Seeing as i'm almost 1 year post op and have met my goal weight you'd think i'd know what to eat. Nope. I'm trying to stay on a budget and I'm looking for meals to cook that I can have leftovers that won't go bad. I'm so tired of wasting money bc I never get to the left overs. I'm always at work and sometimes I'm not even hungry. But I NEED to eat. I'm also a VERY picky eater which makes meals even harder for me to find. I love chicken but since getting the lapband, no matter how perfect I eat it, It never ends well for me. I just want to eat and it be quick to make and can last a while. :/ :/

  8. Hello, I'm 19 and I was banded 10/4/13. I wanted the Lap Band since I was 15 years old. I have struggled with my weight all my life. When I was 14 years old I was put on the depo shot (birth control) and It was THE worst mistake ever. The depo made me gain around 80 pounds. Then through high school and all the stress and bullying my weight just kept going up. My highest weight was 326.6 pounds and that was in December of 2012 which is when I first met with my surgeon Dr. Michael Baptista. I started on the low carb diet and immediately saw a decrease. . . but then when my psych elvauation came It turned out I wasn't "stable" enough for surgery. Which looking back I COMPLETELY agree. I wasn't ready nor stable. I was given the best therapist I could've been given. Anyways, I finally got the surgery and I'm three days in. I weigh 269 pounds today and I couldn't be happier. Only 99 pounds to go!!! I so excited for my Lapband journey.
  9. Hello, I'm new here and I decided to make a new thread (: I'd like to begin with the fact that I was banded October 4th, 2013 ( yes 3 days ago) I started my "Full Liquid" phase today. I am SO thrilled to finally be having something other than jello, chicken broth and water. All I've had today was tuna fish and mayo ( blended together) and don't worry I made it VERY mushy. I took my time and had little bites and chewed. That was around 11am and its almost 4pm and I AM STILL FULL. I love this! I love having portion control and not eating as much as I used to. I can't wait to see what the lapband has in store for me.
