  1. I'm new to the site. My doctor just discussed the lapband with plication yesterday. Up to that point I had been planning on gastric bypass but he suggested the other since it is considered less invasive. My biggest concern is hunger. I want the option that pretty much eliminates hunger. I have heard that gastric bypass (and the sleeve) cuts out the portion of the stomach that causes hunger feelings. Does folding the stomach in an stiching it do the same thing? Also, I was planning on taking 3 weeks off work for gastric bypass. Will labband with plication require as much recovery time?
