Dee you are the only other 28th that I have seen. Counting down. When do you start your pre-op diet? I saw nutritionist yesterday. Start on Monday. Excited for the home stretch of waiting. Been very emotional. My poor boyfriend deserves a medal for putting up with me.

How long have you taken off work? What do you do?

Book is brilliant! Gives heaps of information and read more everyday. Congrats on your arrival home. How long were you in hospital for? Meeting the nutritionist on Monday next week so I would imagine I will start within the week. Surgery is in 27 days now. Nervous and excited as I am sure everyone is. Any tips on the pre-op diet? What to take to hospital?

There is a book out there called "The Big Book on the Gastric Bypass: Everything You Need to Know to Lose Weight and Live Well with the Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass Surgery". I have ordered it but it has yet to arrive, expected today. My RNY is in 31 days and counting.

Wow, your stories mean the world to me. I am having my surgery in October and will then count down to the 12-24 month waiting period to fall pregnant. So excited to see that your body can handle it sooner. Congratulations to all the Mums to be.

And so the countdown beings until my surgery...38 days...17 hours (give or take a couple)... I wish I had found this sight prior to selecting a surgeon, but can anyone comment or provide feedback on Dr/Mr Michell? I have seen all the comments on bad breathe - any suggestions on dealing with this? Anyone had leaks that you can share experience on?
