Immediate goals: 1) Get to onederland!!! 2) Do something active for 30 minutes everyday. 3) Replace my self-negativity with some positive affirmations. Both of us enjoyed the walk yesterday -- agreed to do it again today! This may be the start of a beautiful thing ~:smile2: Happy Wednesday, folks!

Hi Dee -- Ah, thanks for thinking of me! I did great through the weekend -- no PBs or slimes at all. Even had some very moist chicken at lunch. The counting helps me SO much. I've also told my boys that I need a small bite, 30 chews and then count to 10 before the next bite and they're trying to do it to. I think I'm at a good place with my fill after all -- just need to keep my head in the game!

Hi Dee, I've got the EveryDay Omega-3 Soft Chews by Life Fitness. I bought them at CVS. "Each orange-flavored chew contains 120 mg of EPA and DHA Omega-3 fatty acids, the essential ingredients that researchers believe help maintain a healthy heart." --according to the package. They taste good, with no fishy after taste. I think it must be flax and not fish. I would rather have fish and I've heard that the Vitamin Shoppe has a lemon-lime flavored liquid that's good. But I saw these in CVS and thought I'd give them a try. I like them. Have a great Sunday and thanks again for helping me stay the course!! Hey Dee -- I just checked the GNC website and found TWINLAB® Emulsified Omega-3 Fish Oil 002036 12 fluid ounce(s) Regular Price: $13.95 EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) (omega-3) 1003.00 mg DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid)(omega-3) 669.00 mg This is supposed to be mint flavored and seems to be a much better value than the chews, considering the amount of omega 3 per tbs. I may give this a whirl when I'm out of the chews.

It worked. :thumbs_up:Tonight for supper I had about 1 cup with protein/veggie/carb of varying textures. I took a tiny bite, chewed 30 times, swallowed then counted to 10 before I took another bite. No PB, no slime, no discomfort -- I feel satisfied with what I had to eat. It worked! Thank you, thank you -- I just needed a refresher, I guess. I am(I mean was) such a speed eater, volume eater, and non-planner. Old habits die such a slow and painful death with me. But I'm taking it one meal at a time now; I have to. Question -- are you doing 2 protein shakes, 3 meals, and 2 small fruits daily or no protein shakes any more? Also, have you been able to find chewable Biotin (I thought I remembered your posting at some point that you take Biotin; maybe I'm wrong:confused2:) I'm taking a chewable multivtiamin, chewable Omega-3 but I couldn't find any chewable Biotin or Chewable calcium citrate (lots of chewable calcium carbonate, though) so I just chewed up the Biotin and calcium citrate that I have -- disgusting, but doable. Have you found anything better? Thanks again for your help, Dee.

Need some opinions, please. I had a fill 5 days ago. I can drink fine and eat things like yogurt, cottage cheese without a problem. BUT, when I move up to something a little more solid I, without fail, slime and PB. I'm thinking that my problem is with not eating slow, small bites. If I'm honest I have to admit that I've never gotten the hang of taking 30 minutes for a meal. And up until now I don't think I've had restriction enough to force me to do it. But here I am. Tell me your tricks, oh ye band veterans. Aren't the Dr. K guidelines to consume 1 cup of solids three times per day, with a protein shake and 2 small snacks? What works for you? I can see myself so easily sliding into only eating soft food (read: high calorie foods, like ice cream) because I can do it quickly and I can't afford to go there! Do you think I need to call Natalie or our nutritionist for a consult/meal plan?

Welcome, Sidann! Renee -- I'm sorry about what you've been experiencing. I'm sending you positive thoughts, prayers and good wishes that the worst is behind you. Maybe you can go ahead and call Dr. K and get his acceptance? Perhaps that would make you feel like you're making some positive steps toward your CO move. Keep us posted. Brandy -- I want to hear about every pound lost and every minute of exercise accomplished by everyone. It's all a part of the support that I come here for -- the celebrations and the setbacks and the stalls, too! You better not stop posting your progress or I will SO call you out for a progress report -- I am proud of you and sharing your accomplishments helps me along the way. Denise -- Good to hear from you and keep up your great progress! Enjoy Paris, you lucky woman! Ami -- Howdy! You're doing amazing without a fill! Good to hear from you. Lap -- Cracker Barrel's hashbrown casserole and chicken n' dumplings are my absolute favorites. I love everything about that place -- especially the store. Good for you making good bandster choices at probably the most tempting place in the world! I got a small fill yesterday. I think I'm at 5.2 cc, but I'm not certain. I'm doing liquids for 48 hours post fill, so we'll see if I'm at a sweet spot in a few days. I've been working in my yard -- building a stepping stones walkway and re-doing some flower beds. Trying to keep movin' everyday. Have a great week everyone!

Mal --:tongue_smilie: I hope you can get to the gym today! You are always there for everyone when they need you; I don't know how you do it all. Have a great workout today. Dee -- Yea for swimming! Go for it! John -- Way to go! You (and Dr. K) look marvelous! Welcome Nurse 7263! By the way, the shaper line at Target is called ASSETS. In the stores they have the cami, tank, etc. in addition to the lower body stuff even though the Target website only shows lower body stuff. Everything is $20 or less. I have the cami and love it -- will absolutely get more. Taynuh-- I can't figure out the Rep Power thing either.:confused2: I have a fill appointment in the morning. I'm hoping for just a smidge. I am so afraid of getting over filled, but I need a little boost. I can eat too much and get hungry to quickly. Ya'll have a great week, Karen

LA -- Yay for no erosion! Keep us posted on the slip thing. I wish Dr. K could look at your scope results and give his opinion on slip or no slip, too. I'm sorry that you had to go through the insurance song and dance -- it is such a scam. Michelle -- Wonderful!! I am happy for your happiness! Marcy -- I've bought my goal jeans already even though it will be awhile; found them on Ebay -- the Victoria's Secret Uplift Jeans -- they go for $88 in the catalog and I got them for $25 (included shipping). I hung them on the back of my closet door so that I can look at them and dream of being a size 12 some day. I don't remember being a size 12 in my adult life and I will be THRILLED to finally get there --I'm a 16-18 now. I've taken everything that's too big to Good Will a soon as it gets too big -- I don't want it to see it ever again! The weather GC's having in GA sounds as nice as it is in NC today -- I'm off to transplant some day lillies this morning. I'm hoping the snow stays at bay so you can all get to RR tonight -- I want to see pictures! Everyone have a happy healthy safe day~

I just sent a prayer up and sending postive thoughts and hugs your way. Maybe this is a gall bladder attack, but there's not a stone visible on CT?? I'm glad your pain has subsided and hope that it stays that way. Please keep us posted on the results of the Upper GI. Dr. K is such a good egg and I not surprised at all that he called you right back after midnight -- I wish I was closer, too! Hang in there LA.

4/5/08: Day Two
Walked for what seemed like hours at the mall. I hate the mall. I haven't been there in over a year, but I had to check out the Steve & Barry's. My hate of the mall does not win out over my never-ending pursuit of a good deal. Got rooked into a purchase of the Dead Seas Nail kit at one of the kiosk thingys in the middle. They always see me and know that I'm a sucker. What a conflicted shopper I am....

Hi Brandy, I'm trying to work on mini-goals too at this point. It seems less overwhelming to me that way and I am so easily overwhelmed only looking at the "big picture", ya know? I'm trying to set up mini-rewards for each goal, too. My next goal is onederland -- 10 pounds away. (Haven't seen a 'one" first in 25 years!) When I get there I'll set the next goal, my ultimate goal being to reach a healthy BMI by my first surgiversary date. My biggest obstacle is getting my arse moving and exercising -- just can't seem to get my head (much less the rest of me) around it and make it happen. I have started and stopped more exercise plans in my life than I have diets, if you can imagine that! :confused2: So, I'm setting Memorial Day mini-goals to 1) "move around"* for 30 minutes daily and, 2) get to onederland. (* doing anything is better than nothing, right?)
