Typical geisinger psych... I hate them... And they are all the same... They have the best drs but seem to get all the reject psychs that no one wants... I had an appt with my therapist the same day and was telling her about and she said it sounded to her like she was trying to get a reaction out if me... Which in a way i knew she was and i refused to let her get the best of me thats why i kept my mouth shut until i left... Because i knew if i said what i was thinking at the time my chance of ever getting a green light would never happen.... I just keep telling myself, you just have to get past this one hurdle then ur on ur way,... I think this lady is only in danville... U will be doing ur appt in wilkes right? <3 brknhrtd8911 <3

LOL.... I was just sitting STILL stewing about it... Yellowish green... said she couldnt give me a full green just get until she speaks to my therapist and psych to make sure Im seeing them... I mean before I sat down she informed she that very few people get green lights... And after 85 questions had the nerve to give me the shit after saying to me that ive done everything above and beyond what has been asked ... No f'ing duh!!! OH OH OH.... Then she asks me if they had set my goal weight and I her no so she asked if I had a number so I told her Id like to get to between 195-200... She says well your goal weight will be set at 265, thats 40% of your starting weight... Thats the normal weight loss for the surgery... I mean now shes telling me that i wont be as successful as i thought i was going to be?!? I was calm but when i got on thw elevator you should have heard me, lol... OMG!!! <3 brknhrtd8911 <3

Hey Kelly, checking in to see how things are going... Had my psych and what a CROCK! Didnt get my green light... I got a "yellowish-green"... the entire appt was diasturbing... Im still pissed about it... Hope things are well over gour way :-) <3 brknhrtd8911 <3

Well hang in there... Weve all had our hiccups along the way... You just have to get back up brush urself off and start again... Let me know if i can help on any way... Im under the weather... Ended in the er laat week because a medication i started taking back in june was making my heart go all wonkie so now i have to go for another EKG next week to make sure everything is ok.... Then I managed to come down with a cold that has turned in to bronchitis and is kicking my ass up one side and down the other ,lol.... im.just glad its happening now and not right when my surgery is going to happening this way they would postpone it and i certainly dont want it after eiter.... Im sure that geisinger has to have a reason why they are doing the things that they do... or I hope so anyway... lol... Im actually half way between wilkes and danville but I have drs in scranton, wilkes, and danville... all with geisinger though... Im always back and forth... have you made any other changes in eating??? exercise??? Ive found a few apps for my phone that are pretty neat if your interested...

Thats awesome... I have several drs that i see at the gwv... Ive just decided that the surgery itself should be closer to home though... I just finished up my 6th month visit today... 5 more lbs down which makes a total of 51 since the beginning of the year... Psych visit is this coming monday... Finish paying fee next friday then paperwork gets sent off to ins and the waitng game begins... looks like we may be around the same time or i may be a month ahead but lets keep in touch and we can compare "notes" and help each other out... bummer that it had t be rescheduled but Im sure they did it so that you will have the best results after its all over with... eh, Im ok... I just want to get this whole process over and done with... Im such an impatient person, lol... but Ive been thru it all once before (minus the actual surgery) and its just so repetitive... gained 5 lbs back of the 44 I had lost for pre-op so Im pissed... do you ind if I add you to my friends list???

I cant believe it... I did a quick weigh in while I was at the nutrition center today for something else and Ive gained back 5 of the pre-op weight I have lost... so upset and I dont know what to do now... my next appt is the 3rd and I cannot go in there with a weight gain... any suggestions???

Hi thea... checking in to see how things are going....

Does have a family history of obesity.... And if so do.you feel that you are THE ONE that can finally break the vicious cycle??? My dad was a very large persson at one time... He came from a family of 11 kids, all over 6 ft and and at one point when they were older, 300+ lbs... Boys AND girls... His parents were but very large as well... my dad always had health problems... Some attributed to his weight... Some were just genetic... His highest weight was just under 500 and was told by the drs that he had 2 choices... 1. Lose weight or 2. Plan his funeral because he wasnt going to be around very long.... He did lose a lot of weight but not before there were reprocusions... my dad had to have a trach put in so he could breath due to due fact that being so heavy literally crushed his wind pipe... and lived with for 25yrs... He was never able have it removed because of the irriversable damage his weight caused... He passed away 2 yrs ago this month at the age of 81... even with his long list of health problems he was able to concur the odds that he had against him... He had a happy life... Difficult but happy... About 6 months ago i noticed that i was becoming him... In a sense... In a wheelchair, struggling with health issues, depending on others to take care of me... I cant do it to my husband and daughter... Even though I NO regrets being there for my dad and taking care of his for 25 yrs, i would do it again in a second given the chance but we had a special bond... And i dont feel that same bond with my daughter and i need to be able to take care of myself... That is just one if meny reasons why this surgery is ao important to me why it HAS to be done and I HAVE to succeed... I need to break that cycle and show my daughter, who also struggles with her weight that it can be done.... so sorry for the novel... I didnt intend for it to go on forever:'( <3 brknhrtd8911 <3
