  1. Mine only took 2 hours. My surgeon is also the Chief of Bariatric Surgery here so guess he has lots of experience!
  2. Oooo yea I don't think I will make it to Chicago. Lol your husband is all that you need!! I only told my family and 2 friends about my surgery because people can be so negative sometimes. I will keep you in my prayers, I know everything will work out! I am 38 & I felt the same way, I wanted to live!!!
  3. NO you will not be able to drive yourself home, you'll still be on pain meds. My stay was 2 days with no complications. BTW I'm almost 3 weeks post op. I'm so sorry you don't have support from your family & friends! I joined this site about 4 days ago & I've seen the love everyone gives to one another so I think you have come to the right place! What I can say is, if you have made your mind up please don't let transportation stop you!! Take a taxi!! Heck if your in my city Concord NC or close by I'll be more than happy to drive you there and pick you up!!
  4. LOL yes!!! I'm 17 days post & I keep saying its like I'm pregnant. I haven't smelled breath yet, but perfume, certain foods and definitely protein shakes make me sick!!! I hope this changes soon!!!

  6. I am 2 weeks 2 days post op & yes I get the same pains especially in my top right incision where the tube was inserted for the drain. I just figured my body is healing... My doc removed my staples last Thursday & he said everything looked good!
