  1. Well, I am sitting here at the hospital getting all of my pre-admission testing done. It's all just getting so much more real for me! Surgery is on August 8th. Eeeeeeek! And according to the dr. I've lost 7 lbs already. And I still have 9 more days on this liquid diet. So I'll be losing more before surgery. I'm so excited and nervous too!
  2. Wow!! Starvation mode? It tells you that? Lol! I use the lose It! app to keep track of my food. It seems like I'm averaging about 450 calories a day. I can't wait to be done with this part. 10 more days! Eeek that seems like a long time... But it's not. I just hope and pray these next 10 days fly by!
  3. Isopure is great and they have several flavors. But any protein drink that is whey isolate would work. I have vanilla whey isolate and mix a teaspoon of sugar free berry Metamucil and a couple squirts of Mio, add water and ice and blend it to a milk shake. It's pretty yummy. :-)
  4. Haha! You ladies are funny! But I've actually thought the same thing today! Thank goodness I didn't though cause I probably would have had a hard time not swallowing it.
  5. My surgery date is August 8th! Woohoo!
  6. yeah, the next two weeks for me doesn't seem that long. But the diet.... uhhhh... thats where the two weeks are going to seem to take forever!
  7. You can do it Chris How much have you lost since starting your pre-op diet?

  9. How are you coping with the diet? I can eat certain veggies, sugar-free jello, sugar-free Popsicles, brith and vinegar, and 3 to 5 protein shakes per day. Today has been a little rough. I'm at work and all I smell is food and I want some.... But I'm sticking with the protein shake and salad.
  10. Hi, I've been lurking here for a while and enjoying all of the posts and info. I just got my surgery date yesterday and had to start my 2 week liquid diet right away. So I basically had no time to mentally prepare myself. I'm looking forward to reading more of your posts and receiving support. I'm nervous and excited at the same time! I can't believe it's two weeks away!! Ooh that's scary! Lol!
