Just give them a call. Explain your situation and that you know there is a morning class and is there anyway to change times. Explain if not, no big deal but you thought you would try. I have had to change times before and they are accommodating if there is room. That's all you can do is ask.

What a bummer! I am scheduled in the morning. Here are my appointments. July 26th @11:15 Pre admission testing, 2:00 psychiatric test and on July 31st nutritional class @8:30 am. We were so close to meeting! LOL!

I will definitely let you know how things go. I have been wondering how long I will be in as well but I think everyone is different based on how they are recovering. They say 1-3 days. My insurance required me to have 6 months of supervised weigh ins so I had to wait at least 6 months. I called in January for my first appointment and they had me start the monthly visits at that time. I am going to be crazy busy the last two weeks of July with dietician appointments, psch appointments, pre op stuff, etc. My last supervised weigh in is August 2nd and then it goes to the insurance for approval. I will be in touch!

That is awesome! I am having surgery August 15th with Dr Graber in Syracuse. I am psyched!! I have been working with his office since January and they have been great. We will have to keep in touch as we go through this life changing adventure together Good luck to both of you!

Hello everyone! I am new here. I am a 36 year old female, living in upstate NY with my wonderful husband and two teenage daughters. I began my journey in early January 2012 and I am scheduled to have RNY August 15th. I have BCBS Excellus and will have all mandatory appointments completed August 2nd and then off for final approval. I am a little nervous but it sounds like as long as I have followed guidelines and completed necessary appointments I should be approved. I look forward to meeting many of you on this site.
