Another oldie here I just turned 55 and am having surgery on August 8th.

Hey... I live 30 miles North of Pgh PA and am looking for a buddy or mentor. My surgery is scheduled for August 8th so I am getting close. I am both nervous and excited!

I use Vitamin Water Zero with added Whey protein...

My Pre-op routine is a week of surgical scub from the neck down plus one day of liquid diet. It is strange how many different pre-op routines are followed. I am glad I diidn't have to do the month of liquid diet. What a nightmare.

Assuming there are no hangups with insurance I am scheduled for surgery on August 8th. I am nervous and excited.

I tell people straight up. There is nothing embarassing about correcting a problem.

Hi Guys... Last week I finished the last of my Pre-op requirements for RNY surgery. I was told by the surgeon that upon completion of the PRE-OP stuff I should expect the surgery to be scheduled within a few weeks. Even though I know he must send the letter of medical necessity to Highmark and then they must accept and set up the surgery, I have been anxious and nervous ever since. For some reason I can't relax about it even though I know the earliest I might hear something would be in several weeks. I went through a period of time in the spring when I was uncertain that I wanted to undergo the procedure. I have come full circle now and I am anxious to start the process.
