How did you know that you were so dehydrated? I feel dry, but not sure if the other issues I have are from low calories, new diet, or possibly dehydration. :/

I am so with you on that!

I am about 5 days out now, Feeling good, but worried about the fact that I do not feel full. How would I know if I have too much in my pouch? I am so worried to "leak". I am on clear liquids with protein shakes 3x a day. Today I felt very sad and angry though, because I couldn't actually eat food. I'm not hungry, but miss the feelings associated with eating.

I'm done! Had my surgery yesterday . Got to the OR larder then expected, around 2. I stayed last night, have not seen the doctor yet today, but betting Ill be here til tomorrow. Pain is a bit more then I expected. Trying to sip fluids and walk!

I have been so full of anxiety since this afternoon. Surgery is also tomorrow, I am hoping this is the right decision. I am starting to grieve the loss of food I love already.

What I'm trying to understand is what are the sensations? Does your stomach "hurt"? Does it feel like a constant tightness or knot? Is frequent nausea common? Thanks in advance, trying to get an idea of what I can expect realistically, and have no one to ask. .

What kind of medication did you all go home with? Don't doctors usually give pain and nausea medication? Freaking out because I just found out at my preop appt that my doc gives neither. I was told to buy Tylenol. That does nothing for me, Motrin is out of the question now.... So I'm stressed. Pain after surgery seems pretty darn likely. :/.

Ask for Toradol if you still have your IV. You have the right to be comfortable and not in pain!
