  1. This is true! I'll talk to the Dr and try a little at home. Good advice thanks!
  2. When is it safe to drink wine again? I had my gastric bypass on 4-4-13, and my we're throwing a surprise 50th birthday party for my mother-in-law on May 11.. Just wondering if I'll be able to have a glass by then? Obviously this is something I'll discuss with my Dr at my next appt, just curious to hear other peoples experiences...
  3. Hi everyone, another question: I'm 3 weeks out and since leaving the hospital I was consistently losing 1lb per day, but 5 days ago I actually went up 1lb and haven't lost anything since! Feeling a little discouraged : ( anyone else experience anything like this?
  4. OK, you guys have convinced me... Going in to see the doctor tomorrow. Thanks everyone for the help
  5. Had my surgery on 4-4-13. I'm having an awful time with the protein shakes. Bought 3 huge tubs of whey isolate from gnc and couldn't stomach it... Then bought the EAS shakes but I have an even harder time with those! The only thing I've been able to get down is vanilla creme muscle milk, but I'm not sure if this is an option because I never hear people mention it. Is this an OK way to get my protein?
  6. Hi everyone, I had my gastric bypass on 4-4-13, so I'm about 2.5 weeks out. I have a horrible pain towards the front of my left side and right behind my bellybutton. Whenever I cough or sneeze I get a horrible burning/tearing sensation. The doctors keep saying everyone complains about pain on the left incision so I have been hesitant to bring it up further, but the more I pay attention, the pain is not from an incision at all... I'm thinking its a hernia? Anybody had similar problems?
