  1. I'm now 3 days post op and the nausea is terrible. The pain has subsided, but I have terrible cramping from diarrhea and nausea. Thankfully, I seemed to have stopped throwing up. So far, not the easy recovery I had prayed for. I pray all of you have a better time of it. My sister had this 6 years ago and none of the problems I'm having. Praying this gets better soon.
  2. I'm having trouble keeping anything down- including meds. I'm 2 days post op. yesterday I did ok with liquids but today not so much. Anybody else?
  3. I'm officially 24 hours out of surgery. My first 24 was pretty miserable due to the gas pains. Pain causes nausea. I feel much better now. Still a little discomfort, but otherwise good. It all made it so much better. because my surgeon is one foxy dude. :-) lol lol
  4. Congratulations on entry to the Losers Bench- I'll see you there tomorrow!!
  5. I had mine this morning. I was put to sleep, but I woke right up within minutes. I was not sleepy at all after- in fact, I felt rested of all things. They wanted me in the wheelchair, but I kept getting up to do things. I felt silly being in the chair. Very easy-was nervous though.
  6. Good luck to our 3/6 people! Keep us posted!
  7. Just curious what your BMI was- I'm also a self-pay. I have my surg on Friday.
  8. Hi! We are in the March group together- I see your surgery date has changed from 3/19? I go in on Friday!! Can't believe it!
  9. I'm in west Houston- Katy.
  10. How are our March 4 friends feeling? I pray for peace and calmed nerves as you enter this new phase. I look forward to celebrating with you when you are on the other side. I look forward to joining you. Next Friday is my date- so far the only one on the 8th. From what I understand, gas pains seem to be the overwhelming complaint. I think I shall come armed with liquid simethicone!:-) For all of you that have had c-sections, understand the importance of the fart- becomes quite the party atmosphere as everything is back in working order!:-) So in an unusual wish for friends- I wish you many easy farts!!!!
  11. I'm in Houston. The 3 major cities represented!
  12. Congrats on having a surgery buddy!! To answer the last question, I'm just outside of Houston.
  13. I like Muscle Milk. Taste like chocolate milk. I haven't really tried any other yet, but I really liked it.
  14. Not freaking out yet, but keep thinking that this time next week I'll be post-op!! I think you and I are the only ones that don't share a surgery date with someone else. We still maintain our"singleton" status. Just curious- what state are you in?
  15. March Madness!!! Our first surgery is on Monday! Yay! I'm exactly one week from today! I can't believe it's almost here!
