  11. Okay everyone just giving an update of my progress in this extremely strenuous and long process. I had a six month supervise diet requirement by my insurance company and quite a few other requirements, I have two more a nutritionist visits and I will be officially done with all of my requirements. I'm excited and nervous and ready to get this over with. I feel like I'm obsessed with YouTube videos in research on Google and I'm obsessed with this app! I'm ready are you ready? Alright come on let's go let's do this lol ok

  13. Ok a, so today I dropped off my completed sleep study test diagnostic machine , through the FedEx Express Mail Box. I'm wondering how long it's going to take for them to give me my results and let me know if I indeed have sleep apnea or if I do not. It honestly was not bad. I took nyquil will so that I could fall asleep .I had a nasal cannula that also had a piece that went into my mouth. There was also a little machine that I have this strap onto my chest which the nasal cannula was connected into and also the test included a pulse ox monitor. Ion Isley slept very deeply thanks to the nyquil so ,it wasn't a big deal to have the cannula into my nose and mouth or the thing strapoed on my finger . I guess I'm just really nervous to find out the results. Hopefully they don't take too long.
  14. So today I received my sleep study the package in the mail from my surgeons office. When I opened it I was very intimidated there's a nasal cannula that not only goes into your nose, but also in your mouth. As well as, a pulse ox that you keep on your finger. I'm really scared I don't know why! I really don't understand how I'm going to be able to sleep with tubing in my mouth and in my nose I'm a wild sleeper I toss and turn a lot and I sleep with my mouth open. I'm scared lol any suggestions? Did anyone else is at home sleep study equipment sounds similar? Thanks for all your input :-)
  15. Yeah my surgeon he that with 3 children and a husband is hard to sleep in the lab away from home so he offers this to his patient I think it's awesome I'm so glad
  16. Okay here's the update. The doctor does want me to be tested for sleep apnea so, the company going to send me the materials through the mail to my house and I get to do a sleep study test at home. Thank God! Hopefully this goes well. The surgeon said he doesn't see why I would have any complications , everything looks on the up n up. I'm officially getting the rny gastric bypass and I have 3 more weigh ins with the dietician. After that, we will submit to insurance. Hoping time flies by! I cannot wait to be on the losers bench
  17. Ok . The medical assistant measured my neck and said dr. Would want a sleep study for me. I was hoping I wouldnt have to. But ok and she also measured my wrist and said I have a medium frame.( As far as bones) anyone know what that means?

  20. I was really upset that the psychologist made me wait a month before giving me my results. Just got off the phone with her . I passed with flying colors. Three appts and three test later. Lol glad I xan move on to the next steps wich is just four more nut appts. One of which is tomorrow. Lets do this
  21. So I'm 2 days away from my second way in for the 6 months supervise diet. I still have 2 more out of 4 psych appointment. This is all very overwhelming it's kind of torturing at times to know that I'll be stuck looking and feeling and being this way for at least 5 more months. It can be depressing it's sad it's angering but I know I'm here because I allowed myself to be this way. The choices I have made in my life have lead to me waiting for a surgery how to drastically change my life for the better. At times it's all I can think of I wake up thinking about the surgery during the day I'm thinking about the surgery researching watching videos on YouTube google ing information or just daydreaming about how my new life will be. What obstacles will I be facing what foods will I never eat again what foods will upset my pouch will I be 1 of the people that recuperate quickly and drink and get all my protein in? Or will I be 1 of the people that have a really hard time treated and become dehydrated and week or have complications? All these things constantly bombarding my mind and I just can't wait to finally be on the other side of this to finally be in my recruiter reading room after surgery for finally fit in a pair of jeans that I've never been able to fit in before to be able to running a marathon to be able to experience life in a whole new way to have people look at me and judge me on my real personality and not the size of my body to have people not write me off immediately because of my body . I'm sorry I'm just rambling of the things that are going on in my mind maybe someone out there reading can relate maybe not either way I can't wait for my surgery!
