  1. They are actually one of the best shakes taste wise made . My entire family enjoys them. Vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry is awesome. I buy them direct but freight is high. I have yet to find a retailer carrying strawberry except direct. Check local fitness clubs retailers for single one's. They are sometimes sold their.
  2. Yeah gas pain is the only issue, as you can't seem to expell it as you could before. Still on pain meds, but only minimal amounts. Walked a mile and a half twice each day really helps get everything moving. Keeping fluid intake high is important but I actually feel no thirst or hunger. Good luck all.
  3. Home now, doing great In on the 9th out on the 11th. Ambulating well, tolerating 64 oz of fluid slowly per day. Takes some work but I should feel better by next week.
  4. Joining in on the post-op group. I feel amazingly well and my pain is minimal. As I said in the pre-op post, the coolest/weirdest part is how I can only hold a sip every 15 minutes. I feel actually full as if I had eaten 6 plates at a Chinese buffet. I look forward to all the posts, I never imagined that an online support group could be so comforting.
  5. I am alive, awake and doing well. I have been virtually pain free, only issue that will resolve is abdominal cavity gas. Hope everyone is well, and Good luck surgery buds.
  6. Thank you so much, going in right now. Lets see how long it takes for me to get well enough to post. Waited for this step for a long time.
  7. Premier protein premixed in either strawberry, chocolate, or vanilla. They all taste better than any I have tried.
  8. Well you could always keep your water labeled and in the break room. Make frequent stops for a sip, the walking will do you good and your nursing instructors and preceptor nurse will understand.
  9. I almost fell off the sofa laughing when I read this. I felt the same way, started before Christmas. Then the weight started coming off about a pound a day. Anxiety is normal especially when you look at all the risks and long term consequences under a microscope. I deal with it by simply thinking I am making the best decision for my situation with the tools available.
  10. I think it is interesting how we all have had similar struggles. 9 months after starting this journey, I will finally have gastric bypass on 01/09/2013. Strange thing I feel nervous about it. Perhaps to much reading. I have lost 40lbs since I started this journey. Will be done per Dr. Englehardt through BMI of Texas in San Antonio.
