  1. I'm an emotional wreck tonight. Everyone posting such nice things, makes me cry...I'm so glad I'm part of this November group! You all are awesome! I'm so glad everyone is doing well that has already gone through the surgery....and everyone yet to come...good things await us!
  2. Mine is too! I'm so nervous, this is an emotional rollercoaster! I get to thinking about BAD things, then thinking about the good things to come....uugg...I just wish it was already over with.
  3. Yikes! I've only planned on being off a week. That's what my Doctor suggested. My surgery is this coming Monday, the 19th. I hope mine is smooth sailing! The pre-admitting guy just called and said I'm gonna need my pain meds, as i will be in a lot more pain than the normal bypass, because the surgery will be more invasive....I'm freaking out a little now!
  4. YAY! Mine just called and my surgery is at noon and I have to be there at 10:00. So we will be, literally, having the surgery at the same time. The pre-op guy at the hospital just freaked me out a bit. He said "oh, you're having the lapband to bypass, you definitely want your pain meds." WHAA! He said I'm going to have more pain than the normal bypass patient because it's more invasive. I am freaking out now!!
  5. Mommy327, I was wondering about the catheter that everyone had in after the surgery. I was told by my doctor that they would put in the catheter after i was "snoozing" and take it out before I fully woke up....so maybe you did actually have a catheter?? If you did...I'm glad you had no idea! LOL!
  6. Has anyone heard from karmagirl?
  7. Hi! My date is Monday as well...can you change mine to the 19th? Thanks!
  8. Oh no! That's just wrong! I'm sorry you have to wait another week I've been seeing a lot of you having to be on your liquid diet for 2 weeks?? I only have to be on liquids for 2 days prior to surgery....and a 1200 calorie diet for the 2 weeks before. It's strange how doctors differ....
  9. Hi! Can you please add me to November 19th? Thank you! I'm glad your surgery went well....I can't wait for mine....so scared and excited. And I'm so sad for Eva, glad she's now on the road to recovery!
  10. I am so sorry! It just made me sick to my stomach reading your post. I hope you are well taken care of in San Diego....let us know what is happening...thinking of you...
  11. Hi all! So glad I found this site, and this November forum, my surgery date is November 19th. So excited and so nervous! I'm having a revision...from lap band to bypass. Can't wait to get this band out of me! Anyway, congrats to everyone that has already had their surgery...and to everyone that has yet to have surgery....YAY...we'll be starting our new life soon!!
