I won't lie I woke up morning of my surgery at 1:30am and had an anxiety attack my wife told me a goofy story to calm me down but I didn't fall back asleep left for hospital at 4:30 got there at 5:20 went into or at 7:20 crying I was so scared but a nurse calmed me down and I was out woke up obviously in and out all day Monday but tues when my wife got to the hospital we were joking about how scared I was... It really is scary but now I'm on day 5 and honestly I'd do it all again if I had to it was totally worth it these docs are good they're professionals and they all do their best to make our recoveries as easy as possible if you had no fear I'd call you a liar but its really not all that bad
  5. Ok I'm not superman went grocery shopping with my wife took a lot out if me I needed to lay down when we got home also i swear I felt hunger today felt ravenously hungry started a protein shake and the feeling went away so I guess I'll be one of those that still gets hungry
  6. I gained 10 lbs also but I'm forcing myself to stay off the scale except for Mondays I got a little scale obsessed preop and I don't wanna be that way anymore
  7. I also open the capsules of my omeprazole and take the pellets with a spoonful of jello they told me not to bite the pellets or they won't work
  8. They gave me Percocet and I was a little wary of swallowing them so I crushed them between 2 spoons and mixed them with whatever I was drinking in the small cups
  9. And I'm sure there are those struggling and hating me for how easy it's going for me but I also hope I'm inspiring some of the up and comers that its not really that bad is totally do it again

  11. If I had one complaint it would be my sore hands from them sticking me 3x in my left hand and not being able to start an iv and eventually having to use my right hand and then overnight they stuck me another 3x in left hand to draw bloodwork to eventually get it from my left forearm but its a small complaint

  19. Any suggestions as to how the hell I'm gonna lose these last 8 lbs in the 5 remaining days until my surgery Monday?... My surgeon in the past has postponed people for being 2 lbs more than he wants them to be... I've had nothing but protein shakes and water for 19 days... I've increased my morning workout the only thing I'm a little guilty of is not quite drinking 64oz of water a day... But at this point ill try anything safe
  20. I own a feed store and constantly lift 50-100lb bags... Anybody have any idea how long it's going to be until I lift again?... Nurse didn't give me a straight answer and I forgot to ask the dr... Surgery dec 10... I don't plan on going back until the day after Xmas but still curious if anyone had been told how long it would be until they could lift
