January Dates
I love you guys! I love that you all understand what I'm going through and I love that you guys make me laugh. I don't think that there is any way that I could have survived the first three days of this diet if it wasn't for you all. Thank you!

I'm not post-op yet; I am still in the pre-op stage, but the liquid protein diet has given me some major diarrhea. Maybe that's just God's way of telling us that we are all full of poop. LOL Good luck everyone, especially those that are post-op or about to be.

At least you know that when you are able to have surgery that you will be nicely healed and ready to go.

I did one last pig out two days before starting my preop diet. I am glad that I did because I am missing food like crazy now. LOL

Does Bcbs Pays For Cosmetic Sx?
It's a shame that the insurance companies don't understand that it's sometimes more if a self esteem issue than an aesthetic one. I am still awaiting surgery on the 29th, but I am already worried about "bat wings" and droopy skin. It stinks that all of the hard work may be overshadowed because of image issues afterwards.

I think I would much rather take shots than to continue this liquid diet. Bahahaha! Honestly, it hasn't been quite as bad as I anticipated, so I am praying that I can make it through the next nine days.

January Dates
I just started my Pre-op liquid diet today because my surgery is the 29th. I am so very excited yet somewhat scared and apprehensive. I think that I am more worried about the level of pain for the 48 hour period afterward. Can anyone share their experience about this? Good luck to all of us "up comers". We can and will succeed! ????

What Is Your Ideal Size?
Oh my gosh! How in the world can anyone consider a 12 to be plus size?! I would love to be that size! It shouldn't surprise me sine I have heard people say that Beyoncé is "thick". What a crazy world we live in. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

Does Bcbs Pays For Cosmetic Sx?
I have been wondering the same thing and I haven't even had my surgery yet. lol We also have BCBS and it was my understanding that loose skin removal is not covered. I think it's insane that a breast augmentation and/or reduction is covered but not skin removal. However, I do think that the previous poster is correct in that they will remove it ONLY if your doctor deems it medically necessary. Good luck with whatever happens and congratulations on your weight loss so far. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

What Is Your Ideal Size?
I have never really been a small person. Even as a child I remember always being plumper than my friends and the other kids. The smallest size I ever remember wearing was a 14 in high school and I thought then that was huge. It's funny because now being a size 24 makes me yearn for those 14 days. Ideally, I would like to be an 8/10 after everything is said and done. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

Jan Surgery
I too just got my surgery date on Monday. My pre-op is January 17 and the surgery is the 29th. This has been such a long and grueling process but it's something that I've wanted and needed for quite a while now. Best of luck to us all!

Freaking Out
You have fought the beast this long. Don't get discouraged and give up now. I would say that if your surgeon felt that the procedure wouldn't be a success due to the previous Lap Band procedure that he/she most likely would have been up front enough with you to tell that. Things will go well and you will look back in six months after surgery and wonder what you were so afraid of. Best wishes!

One More Appointment!
Congratulations Josh! It is an extremely long and challenging process but I'm certain we will both think it was all worth it in the end. Good luck!
