Redoableme

Im 3 days post op and i still haven't passed gas. Dr isn't too worried about it but the gas pains are wearing me out! Any suggestions? I walk once an hour around the hospital and still nothing.

2 days post op, still in a lot of pain. I may get to go home tomorrow. The good thing is that my kidney function has improved! I've been walking marathons down these halls and still not passing any gas. Ugh!

Scoot over on that bench please! There's a bunch of us joining you on Monday!

Praying God's mercy and grace for all of us going in this week. May our surgeons hands be steady and guided by God Himself, and let our nurses be kind and gentle like Jesus! Amen!

I had the same thing but it mostly went away yesterday. Now Aunt Flow has arrived. Hope that doesn't stop the surgery. Still have an upset stomach too.

Less than 24 hours to go and Aunt Flow shows up! I guess she wanted to show her support too... sigh...

I don't remember who it was (sorry!!) but to the person that was worried about having the hiccups after surgery, I just read in my info book from my dr that you should call the dr if it lasts for more than 2 hours. Hope they've gone away and all is well now!

Don't be scared Lisa! Remember, God is in control! Take it slow and let Him take the pounds away!

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes! Any other 10ers freaking out yet? I feel like I have so much to do, but I know I don't... it's just nerves I guess.

I didnt like the body fortress til I mixed it with soy nog and soy milk with cinnamon and nutmeg. Took the aftertaste completely away! Also, I'm told by my nut that the most Protein you should have at once is about 30g. Not sure why but I'm sure Dr Google can tell you!

Just finished some last minute cardio tests. Praying it's all normal so we can do this on Monday! Also Praying for all recoveries and no cheating on the liquids!!

I gotta say God is gonna be pretty busy with all of us on the 10th!!

It's so wonderful hearing all of this great news and positivity going around! I'm so grateful to have this place to come to for inspiration! Last night I got a little tired of just having broth, so I decided to make egg drop soup! It was really easy, just heat up the broth, season to taste, and slowly drizzle a beatten egg (or 2) into the broth while you stir it clockwise like a whirlpool. The egg cooks almost immediately so after about a minute it's all done! Clear liquid WITH protein!! Does anyone else have any liquid ideas to pass along?

Looks like we're surgery buddies! I've got a week to go too! I've been focusing on not eating lol! I have the rest of my pre-op appointments this week but in the meantime I've been preparing for Christmas. Tomorrow we decorate and we'll have lots of sugar free cocoa! I'm also getting some shopping out of the way (even though I hate to shop) and looking for some good ytube exercise workouts for after I get the ok.

Has anyone on the liquid diet cheated? I'm having such a hard time with this! I just ate some soup but I didn't strain it... I ate everything in it. I'm so horrible!!

I completely understand what you mean. I would ask my hubby to handle crowd control while I go through all of this. As people call him to ask for room info, etc. he can politely say, "I don't think she's up for visitors right now, maybe after she gets home." Besides, if he's anything like my husband he probably doesn't want all those people hanging around either!

Wow Dec 10th is gonna be a busy day!! Welcome to all that have joined us!!

I started my liquid diet today. 1 meal and all liquids for the rest of the week, then nothing but liquids for the next week. I see the Nut on Thurs, the Cardiologist on Fri, and the rest of my pre-op testing done on Mon along with meeting with the pharmacist. 12 days and counting and it feels like it's full of stuff to do! Has anyone had any food related dreams? I had a dream that I was at a buffet and every time I went to put something on my plate, it disappeared! lol

Mine is due the day before surgery. The first few days are usually pretty light, but I'm concerned that things will get heavier after the surgery when it's hard to get in and out of that hospital bed. Was that a problem for anyone?
