  1. Welcome! You will love this site. Great people, with lotssss of info. I am currently waiting on approval from my Insurance company. ((Crossing my fingers)) Keep us posted on your surgery and such.
  2. I just took a good long nap after mine, and I was good to go in a few hours. I guess it just depends on how you react to anesthesia.
  3. Thanks to the info from Maria, Cigna did in fact change to 3 months instead of 6. I spoke with my Surgeon's office and the paperwork is going to Cigna by the end of the week, instead of me having to wait until the end of September!! I am sooooo excited!!
  4. OMG Thanks for that Info. I am calling today!!!
  5. So I had my appt with the Surgical Dietician and my Resting Metabolic Rate test this week, he cleared me for surgery and the test went well. He said my rate was 17%, which is great... the norm is 10%, so that's a good thing. Now all I have left are the Aug and Sept appts with my Nutritionist to complete my 6 months and the paperwork can go to Cigna.... I am getting excited!
  6. It's like a saying I've heard over and over. "Eat to live, Don't live to eat" Easier said than done eh, but it does make sense. food has always been a "big" part of my life, (no pun there, lol). I know I"m going to miss it, but then I tell my self, "Self, put on your big girl panties and get over it. You are going to go thru all this for a reason, don't dwell on what you are going to miss, dwell on how much your life is going to change for the better, and how cute you're going to look in those jeans from Old Navy that you didn't have to "special" order from their online plus size site."
  7. That is cute, great idea. I love Pinterest!
  8. Hi Tank! Welcome, I am fairly new to the site, but I already love it. So much info, support, and great chats. Keep us updated on how you are doing.
  9. Oh I know it's a good thing, I"ve learned so much since I started, but I am soooo ready for the surgery time, this waiting is driving me nuts.
  10. Hi Lydia! I loveee visiting Charleston! How long have you been waiting on approval? Just wondering how long Cigna usually takes. Anyone else know?
  11. Thanks for the great info!
  12. Praying for you too! Have faith! I have 3 months left on my Supervised, I am so ready to get it done, it's like doing "time" in the pen or something! lmao My last "supervised' appt is the end of Sept. so my surgeon is hoping for a November surgery. Hmmmm thanksgiving in a blender? lmao
  13. Hi to both of you. I've only lost around 13 lbs so far, I need to work harder! But, I think the more important thing is I am eating ALOT healthier than I had been. I have learned so much in the 3 months so far, I just need to work on my exercising, that's my hardest thing. Congrats on the surgery "cjoyce", how has it been post op?
  14. Hey Guys & Gals! I'm new to this site, and I must say I am already loving it. So much info and support. I have not received a surgery date. I am having to do the 6 months medical side first, Thanks alot Cigna! lol I have 3 appts. (months) left. My Surgeon is looking towards November for Surgery, I am excited. I've done my sleep study, endoscopy, psych evaluation (apparently I'm just fat, not fat and crazy) hehehehe. I am looking forward in my journey, and the new me and I would love to share my journey with you guys as you share yours. Any advice or tips to prepare or anything you want to share with me is greatly appreciated! Is there anyone here from the Charlotte, NC area or surrounding areas? TTYL, L
