  1. Ah Thank you Mami for explaining how to block someone.
  2. So over this. Thank you for those of you who are here for support. I appreciate it. I mentioned this site to a few other people in my support group that I go to. I have met some really great people and have some close friends are are starting our journeys together heheheh like that MY JOURNEY? Its MY JOURNEY< and If i want to call it MY journey I will. You are a pathetic little man who needed to get off on coming in here and being mean to people. I am not going to continue to let you get off at fighting with people on the internet. Again MY journey. And for those of you who care I should know tomorrow or Tuesday whether or not I was approved. Thanks for all the kind words and support. I hope that this one negative person dose not discourage other people to share their stories on here. 100 lbs or 600lbs. people all have the same feelings, and the same size battle and we are here for each other, thats why we joined the site right?
  3. FYI. My BMI was 39.1, with high blood pressure, pre diabetes, and PCOS. Count it, three health (weight related) issues. I was referred in the first place by my PCP who has been with me for years watching me struggle, loose 30lbs then gain it back, and so on and so on. I have worked with a nutritionist and still do, I write down everything that goes in my mouth, count all of calories, and eat pretty healthy. I also walk and go to the gym several times a week. I am just a big girl. With a slow metabolism. Everything when down hill after I had my son. I also have three abdominal hernias because I carry all my weight in the front, in my belly. I have a "apron" as they call it, that I have to life to put deodorant on so I do not get a nasty sweat pool under there because its 110 degrees right now where I live. If I would have had all the proper documentation of my Pcos and High blood pressure I would have been approved the first time, except I risked submitting to the insurance right away because of my weight alone. Knowing there would be a chance I would be denied. So when I re submitted I wanted to make sure I was at a 40 bmi because according to my insurance that was the reason why. Again Let me remind you guys that this is a SUPPORT GROUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. How are you already approved when you have not been to any type of pre surgery stuff? I just saw in another post you were confused about the liquid diet? Anyone who has been through the mandatory pre authorization requirements know the reason you have to have a liquid diet. This is a SUPPORT GROUP! Not facebook where you can come on here and whine and cry because I am not as big as you. Like I said YOU DO NOT KNOW MY JOURNEY. You don't know that I am only 23 years old, and am not being able to live my life because I am over weight. Weight loss surgery is to benefit your physical health and emotional health. I have been thinking and researching the surgery for a whole year. Done all my research and have met some really great people on this website. My doctor doing my surgery is in the best in the area, people come from all over California to be seen by one of the physicians at ALSA medical group. Again this is a support group, and you cannot offer support then leave. Thank you for all of the kind words from the people who responded, and you should just feel sorry for this guy. Being as over weight as he is, I am sure there is lots off issues going on in life and its easier to make a big deal out of someone elses issues. I know I have my up and downs and I cannot imagine being as over weight as him. If I were you I would have made this decision 100lbs ago. Now you face even more issues with the surgery just because of your weight alone. And There is a reason they make you meet with a psychologist before you submit for approval. If you have let your self get as out of control and you have all kinds of cravings (which are emotional not physical) then what makes you think YOU ARE READY? This is not the easy way out. Its lots of hard work, and finding other ways to deal with your emotions without eating your feelings. Again you really should research this surgery and options more. I can tell by your obvious ignorance you are not ready to start your journey.
  5. Thank you everyone. I seriously feel like I have done nothing but defend my self with my option for weight loss surgery. And this is my safe place, to talk freely about it since I do not talk about it with anyone. And that comment put me in a bad mood all day. And he knows nothing about the surgery. Hes only attended a seminar. Hes negative in several posts. Hello Admin! We do not need negative energy in our peaceful place.
  6. After surgery your stomach is like a brand new baby stomach. Feel free to try something else, not so liquid and you will be puking and in pain. You have to ease back into eating, liquids, then full liquids, the soft food, and by six months you should be eating small healthy well chewed meals. Clearly you have no been to any sort of pre op anything. They explain all of this at your nutrition classes.
  7. I have 120 lbs to loose. And I am classified as MORIBLY obese. So I have loss some weight and have been back and forth I have several health related issues, PCOS, high blood pressure, pre diabetes, and have been trying for two years to get it under control, Frankly I dont know why I am defending myself to you. You do not know me. You DO NOT KNOW MY JOURNEY. And if you cant be positive for people on her GTFO.
  8. Good News, Well sort of. I Drank so much water I thought I was going to PUKE! The hour before my appointment, wore a sweatshirt, and jeans, and my sketchers shape ups. I put my huge galaxy note in my pocked along with like 5 dollars in change. I looked REDONKULOUS! However 243! With a BMI of 40.3. Dr. Boone said I should be good, Laughed at the way I was dressed and said if they denied me again he and the insurance were going to have words. They resubmitted today! So I should hear something by this next week!!! yay!
  9. Oh and my insurance does not require and pre surgery diet
  10. Thank you guys! This was based off my very first weigh in. I am 235 bmi of 39.1. . I need to be 140 for the insurance to approve. My next appointment is on Wednesday and she said on the phone to drink a ton of water and eat lots of salty stuff so my body retains water weight. And i also bought ankle weights. But i have an amazing group of doctors who have a great reputation for fighting for their patients! But i will be wearing tons of clothes and thinking extra fat thoughts!!! : )
  11. Insurance denied me I'm so upset, my BMI is not 40.. I'm literally 3lbs away. So he said drink a TON of water! And wear heavy clothes. I have more existing medical conditions but I go back in on next Wednesday to be re-weighed! Wish me luck
  12. Its been 5 years ago in the small picture of me i posted, and after my baby i blew up as well and all in my tummy. People kept asking if i was pregnant way after my son was born. I was 175 pre baby, 215 after baby, and 235 now. My stomach will look terrible when i loose the weight
  13. But to add! Your outfit is way cute
  14. Its almost like our minds say you look good! Then you see yourself in a picture and hello reality check. The camera adds 10 lbs right lol? The picture I posted ended up facebook One of those terrble pictures that people tag you in and you quickly untag yourself hahaha!
  15. I look at this picture and I use to think I was Gigantic! This was my senior year of highschool, around 5 years ago. I was about 170 The most unflattering picture ive ever taken! (october of 2011) Taken just a few weeks ago. I work at old navy and the manager insists that we all take pictures in our new items to post on facebook. I hate it. BUt this picture didnt turn out too bad.

  18. Hey!! I'm same hospital!!! Are you going through ALSA?
  19. I only bought a little bit. My surgeon does not recommend Protein drinks, they set you up on a meal plan and things that are good to eat, then if your not doing well enough that way, then they start to add supplements. But I bought ISO pure unflavored protein power, in hopes that i can mix it with whatever i am drinking at the time.
  20. I have a bunch of pre surgery requirements that have to be done, different blood work, a upper endoscopy, meet with a psychiatrist and a nutritionist, and some even requite a liquid diet two weeks before surgery, luckily mine does not But you have to do all that stuff before they will even schedule you for surgery.
