I would definatley look into FMLA it's s leave from work which protects your job and they must maintain ur same level of health insurance

Im in New Bedford,Ma my surgery is Aug 22nd and my surgeon is Dr Collachio and will be done at Tobey Hosp in wareham ma

as far as oral i would say immediatly but hey im a guy what else would i say lol

no special diet or me pre op except the day before they say light breakfast and lunch then just clear liquids the rest of day i have managed to drop 25lbs over the last 4 months and fluxuate +- 5 lbs right now 18 more days

i went to the seminar thinking i wanted the lapband but after sitting thru it realized the bypas was better for me with my health problems diabetes hbp and cholesterol so thats how i made my decision good luck which ever way you decide .

Good luck and you will do fine everyone is different but most say the pain is only a few days and it's more of a uncomfortable feeling then pain I go aug 22nd congrats to the class of August 2012

Good luck to you my reason for teh surgery is basically to help get me off meds for diabetes and hbp colesteral i am a truck driver and if my diabetes gets any worse i would need insulin and will not be able to get a DOT medical card ..My surgery is Aug 22nd my starting weight was 301 i am currently 277
