  1. My surgery is less than 8 hours away!! I am more excited than anything!! As I recover I will get on here and update!! Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I start my journey
  2. This is a text I just received from a "friend" U are not THAT BIG ur just, "Built"....... Like a brick house! don't get too skinny. I am so ready for little comments like this to be over!
  3. I'm going to bring travel shower accessories just in case they let me shower.
  4. An packing for my surgery this Tuesday... And I was wondering... Do they let u shower or an I even going to feel like showering? And any ideas of what to bring besides a pillow, breathing thing, and pj's? And under clothes of course
  5. Start 10 day liver shrink diet today. Hopefully it won't be too bad considering I'm not on full liquids until day 6 of the diet. 2 Meal Replacements, 4 oz Protein, 3 protein Snacks here I come =/
  6. Congrats!!! Waiting stinks but is so worth it in the end!! I went to my diet class, pre op orientation, got my EKG done, chest x ray done, and lab work done. I'm not gonna lie!!!! The orientation scared me!

  11. Thank u!! I would do it today if I had the choice also! Too bad my doctor goes on vacation between my diet class and my pre op appt or my surgery could've been earlier. But hey June 26th is still pretty soon!
  12. After hassling the insurance I have an approval finally!! June 6th- Diet class and the rest of the tests they have to run before surgery June 20th- pre op appt June 26th-----SURGERY----- =] It feels so good to finally have a date!
  13. I am not familiar with UHC. All my insurance made me do was attend one support group, go see the dietician once, and psych eval. The process was easy but now I am waiting on BCBS to give the doctors office the go

  15. No I haven't done that. That is a good idea. How long did it take your insurance to approve you?
  16. I am waiting for my insurance to approve me before they can schedule my surgery date. I was originally going to get the sleeve but they declined it because I did not have a BMI of 50+. I chose to stick with Gastric Bypass. My doc office said they sent off all my paper work on May 9 and they still haven't heard anything back from my insurance. I have called my insurance a few times and today was the first time they said that they see it on there screen but it is in pending status. Does everything go into a pending status before getting approve or declined or is it pending because I am more than likely going to get denied?I may be over thinking all of this but geesh I started this journey on February 23rd. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
