I was about to post this! I am 15 days out. Lost 125 lbs with band, gained most of it back, now have lost 21 lbs since sleeve surgery (which is great) but kinda nervous because I haven't seen the scale move in nearly a week! It's very hard to eat so little and not see the scale move.

Started something for acid reflux...feeling much better!

Yes laparoscopic...would I still be having gas pain this far out?

Any one experience pain in esophagus after band to sleeve revision? I thought it was acid reflux, but now I'm not sure. (11 days post op) Also having pain chest in left side at times? Any suggestions?

I am also connected to wls4abetterlife through Facebook. Watched a few you-tubes also. I'm trying to make my final decision today, I'm so overwhelmed in making the right decision! So many doctors/companies with so much information!

I am a band to sleeve revision, which they say is more complicated than just sleeve. For that reason, I'm unsure about using him. With limited experience I'm not sure how many revisions he has done. With that being said still I have not heard one negative thing about him other than he is not a "certified" bariatric surgeon.

I've been looking into using him also. Not a lot of info on him(?). I do have a friend of a friend that used him with no complications, great experience.

Anyone that has had band to sleeve revision in Mexico, please tell me your choice of doctor, your experience, price & progress.

Just wondering if anyone can tell me the price they paid for sleeve with Dr. Ariel Ortiz with OCC?

Just got off the phone with A Lighter Me - Janese...she said Dr. Lopez is NOT working for them any longer but if you already have a surgery booked with him through A Lighter Me he will honor it. That he WILL be the one performing the surgery but they are not booking any new surgeries with Dr. Lopez. Hope this helps to clear up confusion!

Also Bob, I did contact Specialized Bariatrics & Mexico Bariatric Center keeps calling me back. She told me they are a "sister" company! - CONFUSED!

Bob, I agree I've never read anything negative about Ortiz, other than he is not a "certified bariatric" surgeon. I'm pretty sure he's had more surgeries under his belt than a lot of US surgeons. In the end I will make my on decision but Ortiz still has not been marked off my list!

I am not scheduled but want to go this month! I've even bought everything for my pre-op diet. I just need to make my decision. I'm really not scared about going to Mexico I just want to make the right decision on a surgeon.
