I haven't really posted much lately about my weight loss journey, just to give you all a rough summary I did the, *Lab work *Upper GI exam *4hour phycological exam *Nutritional consult *First surgeon consult *Cardiologist exam All in November this past year, preparing for surgery to take place in December, all went well except for, ironically, the very last test which was the cardio exam, I failed the stress test it showed that I had blockage and that I basically needed surgery to clear it up, the surgery took place on 12/16/13 and the cardiologist advised me that he would not clear me for sleeve surgery until after 3/16/14 needless to say I was totally taken back and somewhat discouraged, well I will be having another stress test next week and will meet with the cardiologist on 3/13/14 to go over the results, I can't even express how nervous I am, I'm trying to be optimistic considering that if he approves me, all I will need is to have the labs done over with all the other test being good for 6 months. I can't wait to get the final approval from my cardiologist, the insurance company is already on board due to my BMI, I don't need anymore road blocks, keeping my fingers and toes crossed on this appointment next week. Pray for me y'all, please. I might repost this because I need all the help a sista can get. Lol

Please listen to your surgeon, your weight loss is going to be scary to anyone that's used to seeing you as a larger woman, if you stop walking you may stall your progress, I've read hundreds of stories on the sleeve and in most cases people are initially losing 20-30 pounds per month, you are obviously succeeding, please don't interrupt this, just keep in mind the reason you started this journey in the first place. Be proud of how far you've come and continue towards success. This summer is going to be wonderful for you.

Blockage in right artery. Unfortunately

I finished all of my pre op requirements by 11/05/13, my primary care Dr. decided to add another test that was not required by my insurance or surgeon, I ended up having to do a stress test on 11/19/13 and was advised yesterday that I will need to have a catheter placed in order to have the surgery, this isn't done until 12/12/13 and I will need to be on blood thinners for a month after that which will make it an additional 6 weeks before I can even work towards a surgery date. I know that my primary care Dr. is doing the right thing but I can't help but to feel down and a little discouraged by the delay, I was expecting to have my surgery by mid December but instead I will be getting a stent placed, what a delay.

I'm sorry for you and your family, your sister was beautiful and I know that she feels comfort in knowing how much you and your family loves her and your willingness to be there for her children. Bless you and your family.

Tremendous difference, great job keep up the good work.

I have been in your position more times than I can count. You put yourself aside and showed up to be there for your family which is most important. The thing about being over weight is that people can see right away what we are struggling with which gives them immediate power to make judgments, however, most of those same people have things that they are struggling with that we can't see from just looking on the outside. I know that it's difficult now but your strength comes from situations like this and it will allow you to live up to the actual saying of "beautiful inside and out" not many people can effectively fill these shows, your level of compassion and empathy will be well beyond average due to the judgments that you've had to endure. Between now and march you should certainly try to come to a understanding with yourself that you are a survivor and have a totally different life to look forward to which you greatly deserve.

So much will come from your strength and determination, congrats on your progress. You look wonderful.
