Starting my 3wk pre surgery diet next Tuesday! :-D Any tips???

Hi Vonvon. Personally, I don't know much about the BMI qualifications but I'm sure there are plenty of people on this site that do! I hope you find more on this topic.

Congrats everyone!!! I'm SUPER excited!!! My surgery date seems so far away but I know it will be here before I know it. Right now it feels like I am anticipating the birth of a child I've been pregnant with for the past 22 years!!!! Lol :-D I forgot to add my goal weight 140-150

Got my surgery date Feb 25, pre op diet Feb 4th. :-)

JUST got a call from the surgery coordinator @11:45am,lol! I'm scheduled for sleeve surgery on Feb. 25!!! Pre op diet begins February 4th!!! OMGOMGOMG!!! This is 2 weeks after submission. :-D

I called 4 days ago, Friday, but no answer. :-( I just left her a message. If the coordinator doesnt return my call by noon tomorrow I plan on calling again. Tomorrow will make it 2 full weeks since my paperwork was submitted.

I have Anthem BCBS but in NC. My paperwork was submitted on Jan 7, last week. Praying I hear something soon! Really want to call my surgeons office to ask what the status is. :-/

Cliftongirl, for additional support i joined instagram (mycupofjojo) and searched wls (weight loss surgery) and vgs vertical gastric sleeve, rny etc. I think people respond quicker on there. I'm still pre op but everything youre describing is stuff I see on my feed every day!

Oh yea! Lol, I should have remembered that! Question, did you have to keep a food diary? If so, did keep one while you were waiting for your surgery date?

Hey! I'm still waiting! I am praying I will get a call soon to set up my surgery date. How are things with you?

In other news, I told my mom about the surgery! She was like, "oh yea, two of my church members had that done, good for you!" Lol, pleasant surprise bc I told her yesterday which was two year anniversary of Dad's passing. The coolest thing ever, was that just as I was about to cry (missing dad) the phone rang and it was the surgeons office telling me they were sending my info to insurance co. No tears after all,just happy about taking control of my life. :-)

WOW! The feedback has been great!!! The hubbs and I talked about it. At first, he was defensive, but he's come around. It's SO true, communication is important, but I was dreading telling him bc of what his response might be. I think he had an a-ha moment and discovered somethings about himself. I also have been evaluating my "role" in our marriage more. All the input has been very helpful! :-)
