  1. See I thought the same thing however when I explained to the nurse at the docs office that I was confused on because the NUT had one set of directions and they had another she explained that I need to follow their plan not the NUT. My question at that point why go to the NUT to begin with. Both plans are different.
  2. Sorry I also meant to ask I went thru the clear liquid and full liquid stage am I suppose to be going to soft food already for week 3? Did I miss a stage?
  3. I will be 15 days post op tomorrow and I go for my two week check up. I lost 17lbs thus far but I stalled out this week with only losing maybe 2lbs at the most. I blame it on not being as active as I was last week. However my question is according to my post op packet I was given I will be given the go ahead tomorrow (if all goes well) for the soft food stage. Any ideas or suggestions on meals? I see tuna and flaky fish as one of the items anything else. I am also confused do I eat 3 meals a day or little small meals thru out the day? I know I can ask at my appt tomorrow however I would like to get some feed back from my fellow sleevers on what worked for you.
  4. I want to thank everyone for their responses. I did my protein shake last night with water it was the most unpleasant thing I have had next to the contrast I had to take the day after surgery for the xray! Even my husband smelled it and said how could I drink it. So this morning I did my protein shake with skim milk it has been an hour and so far so good. so we shall see. If it happens again then I will have to use a lactose free milk for now or soy. Fingers crossed.
  5. I was sleeved on Sept. 5, 2013. I did great my first week. About 11 days post op I noticed that after every protein shake I would literally be in the restroom a few minutes after with diarrhea. At first when it began I thought it was the milk because my husband bought the incorrect milk for me it was high protein but 2%, I only had 2 protein shakes with this milk and that was 2 days ago. I went back to regular skim milk with my protein shakes and it is still going right thru me. I now find myself starving and I noticed it is making me weak. I had such high energy last week even walked everyday by Friday 8 days post op I had already lost 16lbs. Now I am at a stall, not holding any protein shakes and feeling no energy. Any advice? Any one else have issues with protein shakes after drinking them for a week or two? Also any suggestions when it comes to the full liquid diet? Chicken and Beef Broth is tiresome. What other soups can you suggest?
  6. I wish you the best of luck. At least you are getting over the hump now.
  7. I had my sleeve on the 5th as well. No issues thus far however I am starving. I am hungry. I thought that the sleeve was also suppose to remove the hunger feeling.
