  1. It varies depending on your tolerance for pain and if you're having other things repaired as well. For instance, I had a hiatal hernia repaired as well as VSG. My pain waking up was a 9, but I have a very low tolerance for pain. The night after I was taken off the pain pump was difficult but as I was weaning off , it got better. At home I was prescribed Roxicet and I used it as needed, mainly for soreness or pain from incision site where my drain tube was. Hopefully you won't experience any pain. Good luck
  2. Per my doctor weighed in at 296 from 319. I've lost an additional 5 lbs. total : 23lbs down, 13 since surgery on Dec 3rd. Hope everyone else is doing well.
  3. I am a Dec 3rd sleever as well. My doctor uses a drain tube but it was removed yesterday. I feel soooo much better now and allowed to exercise and move on to the next phase I have to admit it was a little tough but I'm glad I did it. I've lost 23 lbs, 13 since surgery, my Dr. was happy.

  5. I'm not up to it. I'm still a little sore and wouldn't have been able to sit at a desk for 8 hrs +. I will be going back Mon 12/16/13. I still have a drain that will be removed Wed 12/11.
  6. Lol I think she meant that's how she measured them, not ate them like that hopefully.

  9. 10 lbs down since 2 week liquid diet (started 11/20), 8 lbs down from surgery on 12/3/13. Total = 18 lbs Hw: 319 SW: 309 CW: 301.4 GW: 170 This is the first time I've been completely honest and open about how much I actually weigh. I have to admit, it feels great
  10. I had this issue as well. I mixed some Gatorade & water or apple juice & water and was able to sip those a lot better than plain water. My doctor just urged me to keep trying. I made sure I was sitting straight up and walked a little to help it go down. Gas-x strips also helped with excess gas inside while trying to squeeze liquid in as well. It's much better for me, surgery was on Tues 12/3/13 , but it's still a work in progress. Hope it's gotten much better for you
  11. My surgery was Tuesday 12/3. I ended up staying a second night, which I'm glad I did. I was feeling very sore and I had a lot of gas pain /incision pain but that is getting better as I am now getting out of bed and walking. I slept a lot yesterday. I am now back at home still feeling sore but glad to be back home. Hope everyone is recovering well and good luck to all the up coming sleevers

  16. We surely can I had my pre-op with my surgeon on Nov 18th and did a pre-assessment/registration with the hospital on this past Wed Nov 27th. Only thing left is to just have the surgery. I completely understand what you mean about the shakes. I now can only drink GNC lean shakes, the vanilla bean one specifically. I put it in the freezer for a little while and it almost tastes as good as a Starbucks Vanilla Bean frappe lol I hope you're ready Dec 3rd is right around the corner
  17. Great:) My surgery is the same date.
  18. Congratulations, my surgery is the same day as well. Tuesday, 12/3/13
