  17. Whoo hoo congrats on losing 102 pounds!!! I remember thinking that people I knew who'd had surgery and couldn't see their weight loss were absolutely crazy. Like how can you not see the drastic changes your body is going through? I've had to eat a lot of crow lately cause now I get it. Some days I don't see any change whatsoever, some days I walk past a mirror and have to do a double take. I really see it when I look at before pics of myself. I think it's really hard for our brains to catch up because most of us have gone our whole lives seeing ourselves as huge. You automatically assume that you're the largest person in the room, you plan your activities based on the limitations your weight may require etc. So losing a massive amount of weight over a few months causes total confusion. All of a sudden you have to kind of redefine yourself. Someone in my support group said it best the other day, "we have to relearn who we are physically in space." I don't know how we get past this "brain fat freeze" perhaps it just takes time.
