1. Lol I was mad because I havent lost a single pound in almost a week... so I took pics so I could see the change and stop worrying about numbers lol. The first 9 days was all liquid, Day 9 my body decided to start rejecting all liquids, including my Protein shakes. I got extremely sick, dr told me to try a soft boiled egg mashed with light mayo, that and chewing ice chips got me through the next 2 days, Saturday I had to go to the er for iv fluids. Im on the pureed stage now, not having issues with food, especially egg salad, chicken salad, tuna salad, refried Beans, and watermelon. However I am having horrible issues with my liquids. I drink a half an ounce and I feel like my pouch is expanding. Its so painful, not sure why my body isnt accepting any liquids. Ive beeb chewing ice to try to stay hydrated.
2. I was sleeved August 20th, my highest weight was 317, surgery day weight 281, current weight 258!
3. I will have to try that and see if that helps it go down better Thank you!
4. I completely understand, I wish I would have known how bad the mental aspect of the surgery is. That way I could have been better prepared.
5. Oh wow, I was told I can have any pureed fruit or veggie except stringy ones, like celery, anything that wont puree well. That could be why veggies arent going down so well lol.
6. That sounds good! Lol, Im afraid of trying to many vegetables right now, for some reason thats what I have a problem keeping down.
7. The egg salad is my favorite so far Im going to try tuna salad for dinner and see how that goes down. Also watermelon is amazing! I can eat that all day lol, and the no fat refried Beans go down pretty good too
8. 13 days out.... 23 pounds down, not much difference but im working on it! HW 317 SW 281 CW 258
9. Its not much yet, im 12 days post op, but HW 317 SW 281 CW 258 GW 135
10. My dr said canned tuna, canned chicked, mashed beans, etc. The protein powders made me sick but I am able to keep down a mashed hard boiled egg.
11. Congrats! And yes it is definitely harder then we thought! But it will be worth it in the end Good luck to you!
12. Sipping was a problem for me, I kept drinking too much then being in pain, so my fiance bought me a sippy cup so that I was forced to only drink small amounts.... Im still adjusting lol. The Protein shakes started making me sick so my doctor told me to eat half a boiled egg mashed with a small bit of light mayo, and that helped immensely Im now cleared to eat the pureed diet lol
