  1. My two adopted babies, who are my life. Dude (cat, 3 yrs old) & Homie (dog, 1 yr old)
  2. He goes by what the insurance requires; ex: some docs ask u for a 6 month (consecutively) of a physician supervised diet.. My insurance policy does not require that; i got a letter from the insurance explaining exactly what they need (n that isnt mentioned), n the coordinator at Dr. Gonzalez said she can work with that letter. My insurance needs: the last 3 yrs of physicals I've done (along with lab work), letter of necessity from my pcp, psychological clearance, proof that i understand how my lifestyle will change post op (that is covered by Dr. Gonzalez's 5 hr class u have to take a week prior to surgery). I have all these docs already (except for the 5 hr class of course) for my first visit with the doc, so im hoping that will speed up the process. Im even providing letters from all the commercial diets ive done in the past 5 yrs n gyms ive been members at, just to ensure im putting together a good "case" for the insurance n doctor. I'll keep u posted, my appt with him is on the 25th, so im hoping for a positive outcome
  3. Hi!!! Congrats Tell me about ur recovery? First couple of days, how did u feel? Also, do u really need someone at home to tale care of u? Oh!! How did it go with ur insurance for approval; did u get any push back, etc..
  4. Wondering if anyone on here was from Miami? And if so, what surgeon are you using?
  5. I have BCBS IL (PPO) and live in FL. I'd like to know if I submit the docs directly to the insurance, can I get approved? Seems that regardless of policy some doctors either come up with a 3 month or a 6 month physician supervised diet.. I've submitted to the doctor's office all requirements needed (according to BCBSIL policy).... Now they are saying that it needs to be within 12 months ... But my policy says that it's within 24 months before surgery.. I'm confused... Is it that the doctors down here want to "milk" my insurance by using their own nutritionists n psychologists? That's why I'd like to know if I can just reach out to the insurance myself... Does amybody know? Thank uuu!!!
