  1. Congrats! I am having surgery on Wednesday. I weigh 195 & have been wondering how long it would take to lose the weight. My goal weight is 135. Nice to see it took less than 6 months. My doctor said 1/2 in the first 3 months & the balance over 9 months.
  2. Hope your surgery went well & you have a quick, painless recovery. I am going to Decatur to have the surgery. We are leaving tomorrow. I am cash pay & what I found online, it did seem less expensive there than Amarillo. The follow up apt are going to suck being so far away but I am sure I will be so excited to get my WL results on paper. I am not on the site too often finding FB a bit easier for me. Feel free to email me if you want to compare any notes or have any suggestions/recipes. It is aewalser@gmail.com. Best, Amy
  3. I am having the surgery on Wednesday. I am really hoping it will help with my pain being fibro or back/hip issues. I have been off all the fibro meds for about a year now & only take pain pills. I tried everything & did not see any relief only side effects & weight gain. I am hoping my stomach heals quickly so I can get back on my supplements.
  4. I am having my surgery on the 28th. Guinea pig here too. I have had major back & hip issues plus a chronic pain condition. I am trying this since doctors pretty much are stumped & can only give me Rxs. My BMI is 32 so it will be interesting to see if less weight help. I really & I do mean really hope it helps. If I lose 30% of my body, I am really hoping I will lose at least 30% of my pain. I also had some pretty bad surgery stories so I am really just worried about the pain. Seeing my surgeon on Monday for pre-op. My pain doctor doesn't want to be in charge of my post op pain meds since I am having the surgery 5 hours away from where I live & my surgeon's office told me they do not want to be in charge of my post op pain meds since they are not equipped to control it. Ugh!! I have been saving up pain pills so I can do it myself.
  5. I am having my surgery 8/28.
