  1. Looks like there are (three?) of us who will kick off the September group on the 4th.
  2. LOL! Thanks! Just the sort of answer I hoped to see here. Really a lousy article wasn't it? Seemed to contradict much that my surgeon had said, as well as other things I had read. Now ... If people who have had the surgery (guess I will find them on other threads) will just assure me they did not develop fecal or urinary incontinence . . . And that they are all glad they did this and do not regret it ... I will be happy.

  4. My surgery is scheduled Sept. 4th, in Houston, Texas, only 6 weeks from my first app't with the surgeon, Dexter Turnquest. Because I am self pay, I have not been required to jump through all the hoops that ins. companies require. I thought I had done plenty of research, but yesterday ran into a pretty negative article about potential side effects that made them sound common instead of unusual. Now I am getting a bit anxious for the first time. :-(
